Breakfast in room

We have driven the last few times so we bring our toaster for pop tarts, bagels, etc. we also buy the little boxes/variety pack of cereals to have and just bring plastic bowls, spoons, and have milk and butter in the mini fridge. Unless we have a breakfast reservation, we are fine with this every day :)

we do no cooking in rooms but could take pop tarts and gift shops have great cinnamon rolls that we have got for a late night snack by the pool with a coffee.

We make a grocery stop to get things. We usually eat cereal with milk and OJ in regular rooms. We have also toasted bagels at the food court when staying at value resorts.

I'm bringing bagels, peanut butter, and pop tarts. Easy, requires no heat, and fast. More than enough for people who aren't big breakfast people.

We make a quick stop before check in. Milk, juice, cereal, bagels and cream cheese, bran muffins, fruit.

We are staying in a cabin so we are bringing bacon, eggs, sausage, bacon, burgers, hot dogs, all sandwich varieties, steaks, chicken, shrimp, popcorn and more bacon

I usually just pack a box or pop tarts, but when we were there last week, we had a rental car, so ran by Wal Marts Super Center and bought plums, oranges, strawberries, a bowl of mixed fruit, a bowl of fresh pineapple, 1/2 gallon juice, 1/2 gallon milk, box of cereal, bag of dried fruit, English muffins, hummous, chips, Ritz crackers, and cheese.

Sometimes we'll pick up a coffee cake at Publix, but what really works for me are peanut butter Power bars. My son likes muffins and fruit.

Hope you find something delicious to start your day.

:)

We are not juice/milk drinkers...

So we do coffee, water and shelf stable almond milk

Almonds
Bananas
Apples
Blueberries
other fruits that travel well
granola bars
nutrigrain
fiber one
whole wheat bread
peanut butter

We always do one sit down breakfast, otherwise we are happy to eat this every morning. I love greek yogurt but we drive 10 hours, i may try to bring a couple along in February and see how they do.

I bought bagel thins and ham/creamcheese at walmart.

Here's what I would do on my last trip and planning to do on my next.

Back at hotel for night I'd go pick up dinner or whatever and run by the food court and toast a bagel thin.

Back at the room, I'd wait for it to cool then put it in a baggie.

Next morning I'd slap on some ham and cream cheese and eat this along with whatever else I had in the room (drink/fruit/etc) at the bus stop or walking to the bus.

I like toast but don't care about it being hot. I'm not a morning person so I minimize my morning needs but sleeping as late as possible, get up shower, grab my to go breakfast and hit the bus to catch opening. I planned (and still do for my next trip) to snack a lot and focus on lunch or dinner instead of breakfast.

I also like iced coffee so starbuck sticks and milk in the fridge and I will fix that in a togo cup as well.

No crowds and easy peasy to do in a minimum amount of time.

I do this at home as well (except that I toast in the am). I never have time to sit and eat breakfast before I have to head to work.

Dry cereal with a milk chaser
toast and ham or cheese or peanut butter
protien bars
totillas and whatever filling

I can eat any of these one handed heading to work.

I can not eat eggs very much (I love them), carb/suger combos just leave me starving besides I don't like sugary items like poptarts or donuts/cake in the am anyway, and I do better with lite meals until I've actually got a functioning brain cell.

Am I the only one who brings vodka, tomato juice, orange juice and tobassco sauce? :rotfl2: JK!!!!!!

Breakfast for me is coffee and my niece loves the small boxes of cereal, dry! I will also bring some bananas, bottled water, peanut butter crackers and granola bars.

At least a couple times each trip, we eat the Main Street Bakery Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast in the room. LOVE IT! One of my all time fav snack credits! Sometimes hard to wait til morning though!

Bagel thins!!!! What an awesome idea! I totally forgot about those!
We are flying and won't have a car. Hoping to pack as much as I can, but think a grocery service may be needed. We have the dp, so I think we will use our snack credits for breakfast--- but nice to have a few things in the room to tide the kids over

My kids like when I make up morning snack mix. I fill little baggies with dry cereal, dried fruit and nuts.

Great ideas....thanks everyone for sharing. We drive down and I have to go next week to get our 'travel snacks and food'. I'm going to grab a few of these items too....for breakfast snacks :)

We really appreciate all the ideas too! We're going to order from Garden Grocer to get food delivered to eat breakfast in the room before heading out each morning.

Added bonus to bagel thins is even if they get smushed, you can't tell since they are already thin:thumbsup2

I'd pack those and some PB and maybe a plastic squeeze jar of jelly (make sure to double bag). Maybe some raisins/crasins or fruit roll ups. That would tide over most kids in the morning. I might take along some dry cereal as well (tuperware box). Buy a couple of pringles cans, they're light and they pack well for crush proof crunch fun. Or eat the pringles then fill them up with pretzels, cereal, chips ahoys.

Dollar store plastic ware is cheap and can help transport items to keep from crushing, then be tossed or refilled with disney treats to bring back.

Little carb a little protien and you can pretty much go for at least an hour or two until you can hit a park for a snack.

You can buy a half gallon of milk there (paper cups are provided in room) or even oj. A little expensive but not as much as the individual servings. Plus the disposable lids in the food court fit the paper cups in the rooms. Not a perfect fit as you have to work with them a bit to get them on but they do go on and I didn't have any problems with dribbling once I got them on.

I've brought oatmeal packets, pop tarts and "little bites" mini muffins. I've also used the grocery delivery service and had milk, juice and fruit delivered as well. It was expensive but worth it!
