But wanted to share the good news that my mother does NOT have cancer. They've tested her three times due to the shadow by her lung and the pneumonia. She still has the pneumonia, but is getting better. They will keep her in the hospital at least until the end of the week. :goodvibes

D~

Thanks, D. I'm going to to get up my final December plans before we leave Saturday and a recap of each day of this trip (if work would leave me alone!).

Celebrating the good news with you and hoping that you continue to receive good reports. :goodvibes

Glad to know that you can travel with a little less worry.

Thank you; and I know that our oldest will be here if my Mom needs something so that eases my mind too.

Thanks, Dan.

Thank you, Jen. I was really wondering if we should even do the trip, but I feel much better about it now.

So the trip is getting closer and closer and I am super excited (so is Mark).

First, big news. Guess who is flying FIRST CLASS both ways? If you guessed Mark and I, you would be right. Have I ever told you that I have the BEST boss on the planet. At his age, his travel is a lot less (he's 86 and will be 87 in January) and he has all these miles that will end up going to waste. He said let me see if I can upgrade you and Mark as a little something special for all you've been dealing with on your trip out to Orlando. He called today and they said they could do it and asked if he wanted to upgrade us on the return and he said yes. So we are flying FIRST CLASS ladies and gentleman. Granted we probably won't have a cocktail as our flights are at 6:41 and 7:39 a.m. respectively, but I don't care...more leg room, pillow, etc. :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

A little recap of our first couple of days plans:

Saturday, September 15 --

Approximately arriving at MCO at 10:20 a.m.; catching the ME bus and heading to

Day3093.jpg

We will check in and I will BEG for a nice view for Mark's relaxation time.

I doubt our room will be ready, so we will hop the boat to DTD to get our annual passes and the TIW card. Then back to the resort to swim until our 5:35 p.m. ADR at Cape May Cafe with TarzansKat.

Depending on how tired we are, we might walk around the Boardwalk for awhile. If too tired, we'll go back to the room and unpack.

Sunday, September 16 --

Hitting

Day6004.jpg

around 10:00 (we're going to sleep in) and we hope there are still fastpasses for Toy Story Mania available.

We'll hit some of our favorite attractions, look for a DISer who is working as a PHOTOPASS photographer at the Studios, lunch at 50's Prime Time.

In the evening we are heading to the MK for EMH's.

I'll try to do another update tomorrow...work is driving me crazy since I'm leaving for two weeks. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Woooo Hooooo! First Class!! What a nice treat for you both!

I can't wait to hear about the trip!

How SUPER EXCITING to be flying 1st class!!! I agree, your boss is awesome! At least for the free blanket, pillow, leg room and a real glass, it should be wonderful!!!

FOUR DAYS to GO!!!! :hourglass

Sorry about work but if you can survive only a couple more days you are home free!

Isn't he the best boss? I guess there are perks to staying with the same boss for 37+ years. :)

Oh... just your whole PTR. :lmao:

You have to let me know how OKW is.... I'm thinking about renting points in January. :scratchin

You are meeting up with TK too??? that's nice! :)

Yes, you did most of it...but you are forgiven ONLY if I have those pictures here when I get back. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Tim, you will LOVE OKW and Juliana would love the pool. I've stayed twice now (last year and then earlier this year with Mary and the girls).

Yes, TK mentioned she was going and I suggested we meet up and we invited her to have dinner with us. :goodvibes

Thanks for sharing in my excitement, Brenda. A real glass? WOO HOO!

Actually I have 2-1/2 days left...I'm leaving at noon on Friday. And despite working until 5:30 yesterday and today (I normally leave at 4:30), I'm leaving on time tomorrow and Thursday as I have my nails tomorrow and hair cut/color on Thursday.

Juliana isn't going with us in January.... it's a good thing too considering how much school she has already missed. We are thinking of changing our flight from Friday to Saturday.. (11/2 to 11/3) because she has already missed 4 days.

First Class?!? WOO HOO!!! :cool1: What an awesome boss you work for! And I can't think of 2 people more deserving of some upgrade pixie dust!! :goodvibes

Wowie Zowie on the first class upgrades!! :thumbsup2

I've flown first class a couple of times and it's sooo nice, you're gonna love it!! Great boss you have!! :goodvibes

Sounds like a good start out on your trip! I'm sure you'll get a good view, just ask for a different room until you get one. :) It's what a couple of Dis'ers I know do. :beach:
