Chase Disney card in DL

I plan to use my rewards card points this year and I am wondering if anybody knows of any places that don't accept it? I know there is a list on www.disneyrewards.com , but I also know that is not accurate.

Also, I have heard of some people appling the reward points to the room (We are staying at DLH), and then using the room key to pay for stuff. Does this work? I plan to use it mostly for dining.

Last question, Does anybody know what characters will be at the Chase meet n greet? My niece wants to meet Pooh.

There was a thread just after Carsland and McCarthy opened that advised the meet and greet changed from alternating between Chip & Dale and Pluto to Minnie and Stitch.

The characters switch, but I'm not sure how often. Yesterday, it was Stitch.

For the Meet & Greet, if you have more than one card, you can get an additional photo. The coupon for the free print is valid until the end of the month, so you don't have to pick it up that day.

They don't advertise this, but you can use it for any character photo, as long as it's not a face character.

In the Parks the any place that accepts credit card will accept the card, with the exception of the crystal place on Main Street (they are not Disney Owned). In DTD The Disney place (World of Disney, Disney 365, Vault Disney) will accept it. The non-disney places will not.

Characters are currently Stitch OR Minnie.

For years it was Pluto OR Chip n Dale. Never both at the same time. They rotate. ;)

We used our points to pay part of our room charges last month, but we had transferred the points to a card before our trip (are you wondering if they can find your points and apply them? I don't know that.) They just run it as a gift card, no problem.

Do you do this online? We just got our card & are putting everything on it (and paying it off) to get points. I would love to use those points to pay for part of our Dec stay.

Hey Aliceindisneyland do they transfer your points to a gift card at the parks? Or do they have to send it to your house?

Is there a specific time for the meet and greet and where is it located?
Yes. It begins 30 mins after regular park opening and lasts 90 mins. Each character is there for a 30 minute block. The location of the Meet & Greet is at the back of Hollywoodland, in front of the Mad Tea Party Arcade.

Thanks so much! Been trying to find the specifics online without much luck.

You have to order your rewards gift card first. Once it arrives, you can have the rewards dollars put on a Disney gift card. Keep your rewards gift card because if you forget to transfer your points before a trip, you can ask at City Hall and get the points transferred there by phone. Hope this makes sense.

The past 2 trips I forgot to order my rewards card soon enough before we left (it takes awhile to arrive at your house via USPS....). I was able to pick up a cards while at Disneyland. Once I did so at DCA, and last year it was just outside the Disneyland gates (near the picnic area....is this Guest Relations or Guest Services?). Anyway, once I had the card, I called the phone number on the back and added reward dollars (used my cell to call from the Esplanade). Just a heads up in case you don't remember to order one soon enough. Also, you are allowed to have 2 active rewards cards. DH and I usually each try and carry one, in case we split up.

You can also get a card from guest services and call the 1-800# and have points transferred right there for immediate use! I've done this at both DL and WDW for my last 10 visits because I am afraid to loose my card and the points that took me so long to build so I pick it there and I use it for special dinners! You can use it at mot places on the resort

I believe you can do it online or by phone if you have a package. We had hotel only, so we could not pay online or over the phone; I paid most of my balance with the front desk clerk the night before we checked out.

Good to know!

Does anyone know if you can apply the rewards card directly to hotel reservation or is it only for room charges?

Once you have the rewards card it works just like a credit card for payment. So you can use for your Disney hotel reservation, room charges, meals in the park, park tickets, etc.

The Disney Rewards Redemption Card (DRRC) is like a Disney Gift Card Plus. Not only can it do everything a Disney Gift Card can do, but it can knock 10% off your bill at all these restaurants including the highly rated Surf's Up with Mickey & Friends character breakfast, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, and any other store where you are spending $50 or more. So if you have a DRRC and Disney Gift Cards, be sure to know which one to use where.

There are some reports though, that you must pay your entire bill with the DRRC in order to get the 10% and use the redemption card (you can't even partial pay with your Disney Visa). So be sure to budget your rewards. Once your DRRC gets under $50, it essentially becomes a regular Disney Gift Card again.
