When booking the bounceback offer, do I have to book the same resort that I am currently at? Does the bounceback usually give a percentage off the room or free dining? I am going in Nov 2012 and then again in Oct 2013. Any info would be great as I don't know much about it.:confused3

I just returned on August 31st and I did not receive a bounce back offer. I read on here that a lot of other people did not receive one either. Some called and were told there wasn't an offer and some got it. I would have definitely considered it to have something to look forward to. oh well, I guess I will wait like every other year for the Free Dining offer to be announced for next year.

we booked bounce back last week. we were staying at POFQ.
the sheet we received only talked about Moderate and Deluxe Resorts but we were able to book Pop Century for next Aug. 2013.

the dates on my bounceback sheet are between
aug. 18, 2013 - Sept. 13, 2013
The deal is free dining.

Not at all..... In January I stayed @ POR.... Bounced back to AKL in May..... bounced back to POP in June....... Tried to bounce back again but my annual pass was a better rate then stayed @ COR in July. If I had the money I would have bounced back one more time. :thumbsup2

Enjoy the discount and bounce back. :goodvibes

You do not have to book the same resort, but you do have to book the trip on or before your check out day as it's only available to guests currently staying at a Disney resort. You can book any resort you want, provided it's available under the BB offer. Sometimes it's a room discount, sometimes it's free dining....it just depends. Usually in August & September the BB is for free dining for August/September of the following year. If there isn't a flyer in your room, you can call 8844 from your room and ask if there is an offer.

So if I'm there in December will there be a possibility I can get a bounce back for May? Or is it for the following December timeframe?
Also, can bounce backs be cancelled or are you locked in?
Sorry for the hijack!

Hijacks are all good - more info for the rest of us. I am curious about the cancellation also - one never knows what $#@% can happen in a year!

My trip is coming up in less than 2 weeks and a few weeks ago our TA emailed us saying we were given a bounce back offer already. Hoping those who want it are offered it! :)

OP- If you go in December, you can bounce back the following year provided that Disney is offering the Bounce Back promotion. When you check in look around for the promotional info in your room. You must make you reservations before you check out. You have to put a deposit down. The price varies depending on where you stay. I don't know about canceling. I never cancelled a trip when I did Bounce Back. Also, they have select dates that apply for the Bounce Back promotion.

Hope this help and have a great time.

You can cancel without penalty as long as you aren't w/in 45 days

A BB offer is just like a regular reservation and follows the same cancellation policy. The only thing is it has to be booked on or before your check out day. Once you leave, you are no longer eligible to book with that discount. If it's a package, you can cancel up to 45 days prior to arrival without a penalty; a room only reservation can be cancelled 5 days prior to arrival without a penalty. Changes can also be made later on, provided there is availability for what you want under the BB offer. With that said, it's always better to book something if you think there's even a slight possibility of taking another trip since you really have nothing to lose. HTH :).

We just returned from GF on Wednesday, we were offered bounce back offer of Free Dining for the Deluxe or Deluxe Villas between 8/18-9/26/13.

When I booked my BB I was staying at CBR and I originally re-booked at AKL. When I got home(and came to me senses, AKL was $1700 more than CBR), I called and changed the reservation back to CBR , I also changed the dates because I had them wrong originally. From what I was told you can make changes/cancel just like any reservation.

Edited to add: the BB offer was for Free Dining for Moderates and Deluxes(the flyer stated AKL and WL)

When in November are you going? That is about the time that the current Free Dining BB offer will expire and a room discount offer will begin for select dates in the following year. All major holidays, travel periods will be blacked out (including the weeks around the Colombus Day holiday in October).

For the "hijackers": :goodvibes

Also, even though the flyer may state mods or deluxes, all resort categories are available, no matter where you are currently staying. However not all resorts/room categories may have availability for the time you are going. Its best to call ext 8844 from your room and talk to the agent.

And, yes, you can modify a BB ressie after you return home, so long as you are staying within the dates offered.

How much do you have to put down for a deposit if it is for a % off of the room price? Would it be $200 like packages are or is it the price of one night for the room like room only reservations normally are?

If you use a room only discount to book a package, the deposit would be $200. If you just use it to book a room only reservation, the deposit would be 1 night of the hotel cost.
