We need to travel to Erie, Pa for a sports tournament at the high school there.
Looking for a cheap and clean hotel for 1 nite thats close.

Can anyone help me out? Thanks

We go at least twice a year for shopping and a quick getaway - always stay on Peach Street - have tried Econo Lodge, Wingate by Wyndham and Country Inn and Suites - all nice places and close to everything. I always book directly online on hotel websites, find that's the cheapest rates.

I've stayed at the Econo Lodge on Peach, it was fine.

I've also stayed at the Holiday Inn on Peach but it was not cheap! Plus, we had issues with the Holiday Inn forcing us to switch rooms the second day we were there. We ended up checking out a day early since they refused to let us stay in the same room for the second night so I do not recommend the Holiday Inn.

I would stay away from Upper Peach Street (close to I90). The traffic in that area can get bad.... There are a few hotels around the Millcreek Mall and is about 4-5 miles from the school.

Fairfield Inn
Homewood Suites
TownePlace Suites

There are hotels at rt 97 and I90 (casino exit). Super 8, Days Inn, Tally Ho..... but they are about 10-15 miles away.

Hope this helps.

The Glass House Inn in Erie is a quaint, 3rd generation owned motel located on West 26th Street a short distance (maybe 2 miles) west of I-79. The owners & their kids are McDowell grads, so the location is close. It has 25 rooms that are clean & well-maintained. I think they even have a room that sleeps six. We stay here every time we visit Erie. :) Check out their website.

We used to live in Erie and always stay at The Glass House Inn when we go back to visit family. It is always the least expensive spot, and you won't get stuck in the Peach Jam traffic.
