Need one day in middle of reservation

I needed a reservation for 11/27-12/7. I was able to reserve every night except 11/30. In all of the years that I have been camping here, this has never happened. It makes me a little nervous.

I have been calling daily to add that day, but to no avail. The campground is full that one night. I find this odd and know that there are always empty campsites every time we go. If I cannot get this night before we get there, what are the chances that they would just let me stay in my site for the remainder of my trip? Is there a chance that this we won't be able to go because of this one night?

Thanks.

I don't think I'd let it keep me from going to Disney. Could you make a one night reservation in a value? I'd hate to have to do that, but it could save the trip.

We will have pets with us:) I would just rather stay at another campground than do that. It would be such a hassle.:sad2:

It is available in a premium site if you put in 11/26-12/1. Just book that and cancel the other days.

I have been in that same situation! We usually stay every December and twice we have been told one day in the middle of our stay it is booked.pirate:
It causes a lot of stress and they keep saying just keep trying..We do and the night before we are to leave we try again and guess what it is available!!!:confused3:cheer2: We also have seen many unoccupied sites during our stay and just don,t understand? Whats going on? We still love Disnet though and especially the fort...:flower3:

There has been a couple of times we had a day in the middle we could not book. Sometimes it took a week to get it, sometimes it took a month but we have always filled it in. Just keep the faith and keep calling.:thumbsup2

In another post on the DIS, a poster was boasting that they had reserved a campsite in FW with the Premium Plan, but were staying off site and just using the reservation so they could get this and that.

While I know it's not forbidden, there should be some way that Disney could punish people for this practice, especially in a place as popular as the Fort. This practice ruins it for those of us who actually want the sites.

Got it! I just kept trying.

I just your reply, Pookajean. I tried every day and it wasn't available, so maybe it was briefly available when you checked, but by the time I checked it was gone again.

Thanks everyone!

iradi8,

Congrats on getting your missing day! party:

You are living proof of what we advise people regarding reservations.

1. Take what you can get.

2. Book long if you have to and then drop any unwanted days.

3. Keep checking for days to fill in gaps.

4. Call EVERY DAY!

5. Persistence usually pays off. pixiedust:

Sure:)

I forgot to mention that I was calling every day. Each call took so long because I had to give them so much information just to find out if that one day was open. Finally, I asked the person on the phone if there was a better time of day to call or a better way to do this. He told me something that was different than what I had read.

He told me that when someone cancels a campground reservation that it is immediately put back into the system. He told me to try online throughout the day. The day after he told me that is when I got that night -- I did it online.
