Good to know that the mugs are indeed BPA free! I had often wondered the same thing.

Think there will be any design changes for next years mugs? It doesn't really matter I guess cause I don't have any current mugs anyways (I haven't been since 2010). Part of me keeps wishing they would go back to resort specific mugs though

Yes, I am expecting a new mug design in early 2013.

I have some white/silver mugs with pale blue Mickey and Miinnie and snowflakes (think they are ice-skating). I can't remember if I got them at MVMXP or just the resort mugs in early December (I know they are several years old). I have the regular resort mugs of Mickey and Minnie by the pool from last year, but wondered if they will sell different resort mugs at Xmas?
I like to collect them.

Only in the parks. They are not refillable.

I just like to have them forr the car in the mornings so my DH and the kids can take their drinks with them. The older ones are kind of looking a bit poorly, so I thought some nice Christmassy ones would be cool.

The white and Blue with silver ones were out in 2008 as the refillable mug.

Does anyone know if the mugs at the 2 water parks are the same or different? We will be visiting both of them and I would like to buy 4 mugs. If they are the same I will pick them all up on our first day, but if they are different I will get 2 our first day and 2 at the next waterpark.

You can use water park mugs over and over. You just need to buy the sticker for the next day. I think it is about $6.

This year it sounds like they have even less colors to choose from...just 3? So maybe I'll figure out a waterproof tag or something I can tie on to the handles. We also take some Dawn soap and wash our mugs at night....so I need a label or ribbon that will withstand a week's worth of washes.

I also always take some kitchen towels for drying our mugs and some washing up soap to clean them properly. I hate when my coffee tastes like root beer

You know, for a totally different purpose, I have just bought some caribiner hooks (managed to get some small ones) in 5 different metallic colors. I got them in a pack of 5 from Amazon and they were really cheap. You could clip one of those around the handle of your mugs - even if you just did it for the kids and the adults all had different colors or vice versa - and you could wash them with no problems

On my recent trip to WDW I happened to be visiting the Wilderness Lodge and was looking around Roaring Forks. Anyway by their Ice Cream machine I saw a woman filling up her mug from it and there is a sign on there saying "Not for us with the Refilable Mugs." I couldn't help myself and laugh thinking wow did she not see what was written in front of her.

We use a sharpie, it works out great. The this is your color would not work for us. It would get mixed up.

Yes. I've used my old one at both water parks for many, many years. I just buy the new sticker each time.

Lid Colors. We have the black, blue and pink from previous trips. I'm going again in September with Deluxe Dining (POFQ) and December with Quick Sevice Dining Plan (ASSp). Are there any other lid colors? I thought I had seen a yellow and maybe a green but were those for the now expired RFID test?

I'm just hoping, wishing, praying that they get a new mug design out there by March 2013! We have 4 of the present design, from 2 trips - 2 black, 1 blue, 1 pink. I really don't want 2-3 more of the same design!

Any chance I'll get my wish?

We've never purchased these mugs before but might this time. Seeing that pic of the current ones has me asking about the lids. Particularly about how good the seal is? We have so MANY mugs on this house that the lids just stink on and I'm not sure if this style was one we had leak or not. Experiences??
