Sanaa, Raglan Road, or Rainforest Cafe, which would you choose?

I'm trying to nail down a dinner ADR for DFi and I during our AK day and I can't seem to decide where to have our TS meal! Of those three restaurants, which one would you choose? :confused3

Oh, and I wanted to try T-Rex too but there seems to be no availability.

Raglan Road over RC definitely, imo. Haven't been to Sanaa but Raglan Road is great.

I agree with PP that Raglan Road was very good. The only thing is it can get loud when the band is playing (they are great) depending on where your table is.

I've been to all 3. Rainforest is in a different class. It's cheesy and the food is mediocre, but cute for kids.

Sanaa and Raglan are both great and you'd be happy with either. We just ate at Sanaa 2 weeks ago and it has gone down slightly. I say this mostly based on one dish becuase they changed how their tandoori chicken was served. It's still a great restaurant though. It has an Indian flare to it so if you like Indian spices you will like it.

Raglan is fantastic. We tried this restaurant on a whim and it's now one of my favorites. If I had to choose, I would pick Raglan. Keep in mind Raglan is in Downtown Disney whereas the other two are near AK. (RC is both AK and DTD)

My choices are in the following order:

1. Saana - I've not eaten here yet, but it seems like a nice way to end your AK day. The restaurant setting looks lovely, & it would be cool to dine while watching the safari animals. The menu looks interesting as well. We've eaten at Boma & really enjoy it, & the other 2 AKL restaurants (Jiko & Saana) are on our list of places to try.

2. Raglan Road - This would be my definite DTD choice! The menu looks wonderful, & there's entertainment as well.

3. Rainforest Cafe - We are trying RF Cafe for the 1st time this year (the DTD location). Last year, we tried T-Rex, &, this year, the kids wanted to try RF Cafe. However, if it were just my DH & myself, we would NOT be eating here & would instead be deciding between Saana & Raglan Road!

Raglan Road, hands down, is the best restaurant in DTD. Try it out. Always good service, wonderful atmosphere & the food is delicious!

Yep, I knew that. :) I figured we'd probably finish at AK early and we'll just head to DTD afterwards. Raglan road sounds very tempting actually. I'm not a huge fan of Indian food but the bread service and the tandoori dishes were what made me want to go to Sanaa. But I'm sure if I asked DFi, he'd probably pick Raglan Road over Sanaa.

Off to change my ressie. :) Thanks for the input guys!

We absolutely love Raglan Road. Grrs Bread Pudding. Scallop Forest. Real Fried Shrimp on the Kid's menu and not Popcorn nastiness.

We haven't been to Sanaa, but we have heard great things about it. It is on our to do list.

I would never choose the Rainforest Cafe. While the atmosphere is nice, the food is just okay. It is a chain restaurant. While I am at Disney, I try to branch out and try new things.

1) Sanaa- Excellent!
2) Raglan Road- Food is good, atmosphere is fun

A very, very distant 3) Rainforest Cafe. Seriously, choose 1 or 2 ......

Sanaa's bread service really is incredible. Best naan bread I've ever had. In January, they served the tandoori on a piece of naan (woohoo, more naan) with some type of lettuce garnish and sauce drizzled over. It was lovely. This last time, there was no naan bread in the dish and the chicken, sauce, and rice were in sperate bowls. It just wasn't as nice that way and I don't know why they changed it.

Raglan is just seriously good. The ribs they have on their appetizer were the best Ive ever had. I have been wondering if you can just order ribs as a dinner because I wanted more! DTD after AK would be lovely. :) I love that place at night.

I've done all 3 at least 2x at each. My order would be:

1. Sanaa. This is the best casual dining restaurant at WDW. The food is a fusion so it's not traditional Indian and offers a unique menu that is very tasty. I've had something different at each of my 4 meals here and each dish has been very good. We've also experienced very good service here.

2. Ragland Road. This restaurant has a fun bar atmosphere. The menu is large but I think the food is on the heavy side and fairly average. We go for the bar atmosphere more than for the food.

3. RFC. Mediocre food in a noisy crowded atmosphere.

I agree with the others about RC, so I'm glad you're changing that.

We have one here and it's OK, but definitely would not make my top ten. My kids thought it was cool but it's very loud, the food was adequate, service OK. It's just not something I would repeat if there were any other choices!

We're eating at Raglan Road (can also be loud but it's music-not noise) for our upcoming trip and may be able to do Sanaa on our last day...if not, I'm taking my mom next year for a girl's only trip and we'll definitely be eating there!

Sanaa would definitely be my pick of those three. Great food, interesting building, animals out on the Savannah outside, and what I think are the best bathrooms on property. Okay, that last thing isn't a huge selling point, but all the other points still hold. :lmao:

I wholeheartedly agree!!! Sanaa is awesome. Raglan Road is very good. Rainforest, meh

Wow, these are exactly my thoughts on the 3 places. I won't go back to RR, it was just OK for us, but the bread pudding was very good! I LOVE Sanaa. Great food and great service everytime we've gone. It's a must for us every trip! :goodvibes
