I am on the regular dining plan and thought Sci Fi would be good to see and eat in the dark, but Is the food good, or should I get a fantasmic package at Hollywood & Vine. Can you tell me which has better food sci fi or hollywood & vine? Also is there any other TS meal with a fantasmic package?

Fantasmic packages are available only at Hollywood & Vine, Brown Derby and Mama Melrose.

We did not like H&V at all. Bad service, messy buffet area. Hot foods were cold, cold foods hot. didn't like it at all.

But, we tried Sci Fi last month and really liked it! The atmosphere was really cool and had the best burgers and yummy milkshakes!! ::yes::

H&V is a pretty generic buffet. At breakfast & lunch they have Disney Jr characters so it's a really good pick for somebody with preschoolers - which, little kids being little kids, makes it more prone to be loud and a bit messy. Sci-Fi is unique and is a good pick if you like the theming. The food mostly fits the drive-in themes with an emphasis on hamburges, fries, and ice cream treats, although there are other items on the menu. You go to a restaurant like that for the overall atmosphere, not for a fine dining experience.

We like SciFi - have been there several times. Tried H&V a couple of times & would not return there. Quality of food & service was subpar.

I've never been to Sci-Fi, but we ate at H&V last time we went and I will never go back. It was absolutely the worst meal we ate at Disney (or maybe any restaurant ever).

sci fi food is horrible. hollywood and vine much better choice. buffet with was very good. we aso did the firework pkg.

we have had many lunches at Sci Fi, Burgers and fries are good. Our one H&V dinner was awful. As previously mentioned, buffet was filthy, our used plates were never removed and our server was a no show until time for the check. No refills, food seemed warm not hot and the cold items seemed warm. never again.

Hollywood and Vine was okay for the Fantasmic Package but I would have perferred Mama Melrose. At H&V, we were seated beside 3 tables of children (while the parents where at least 2 tables the other direction), so it was loud, and messy. It was worth getting first in for Fantasmic though.

We go to Sci Fi for the experience. Only food we like is the burger and spinach dip.

I think H&V is terrible, compare it to a Luby's or Furrs cafeteria but with worse service and food.

I've never been to H&V, but my my best friend and my family all really like Sci-Fi. I like it as well, but I'm big on atmosphere, and prefer fun restaurants to "fancy" ones. I think the food is pretty good, and the servers are fun and attentive. I usually pick the Smoked Turkey Sandwich, it is SO yum! :thumbsup2
