Ok, so my DH wants to go there on Saturday night for dinner. I don't see much about it here, what can you tell me?

Last time I ate there was in May. If its nice out I enjoy sitting outside and watching the goings-on at the Boardwalk. Burgers were good. Actually I've never had a bad meal there just not anything extraordinary. If you want that, go to Flying Fish - excellent meals- consistently over the past 13 years.

Thank you, I would probably prefer something else, but DH chose this, so I have to go along this time. He usually just goes where I want to, so for him to have input is unusual.

Most reports about BRG rave about the beer options. Food and service get lower ratings.

BRG is owned and operated by the same company that runs the Gordon Biersch and Rock Bottom brewery/restaurant chains, so if you are familiar with those you should have a decent idea about what to expect at BRG. The beer selection is somewhat more interesting and varied than what you will find at restaurants around the property, but I wouldn't say it's spectacular or anything. Food is decent.

I Loved the artichoke dip..... and the chocolate confusion cake was one of the best desserts I've ever had in Disney! :cool1:

If you wouldn't go to the local Brew Pub when at home then you probably won't see the attraction to BRG. It's nothing more than a dressed up Brew Pub with similiar type and quality food.

We like it! I usually get the chicken dish with sauce on the side. They don't have french fries. DH and DS like the beer flight and you can get a mixed drink too. I loved the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake for dessert. Oh ya and the nachos were really good too!

Boy, this makes it hard. I will probably just suck it up and go for DH. I don't care anything about beer, I'm a wine and cocktail girl, but my husband loves beer and pub food. I'm rather tired of it, that's a lot of what we have around here.

We went on a Saturday night and it was crowded and loud~ so just be prepared for that. :upsidedow
Our service was pretty good as well as the food.
They don't take reservations, but you can do priority seating~ call ahead and put your name on the list to cut down your wait. They will tell you they don't take reservations, so you have to phrase it correctly, lol.

It's a nice casual meal. We enjoyed it and I'm not a beer person. They have some good mixed drinks too.

My husband and I don't drink, but that is my favorite restaurant. I LOVE the beer cheese soup. People rave about Le Cellier's, but I think BRG's is soooo much better. I could eat a whole meal of it. My husband like their steaks, and I've like everything I've eaten here.

It's so nice to have a TS meal that you don't have to make a ADR for and can go when you're hungry and not at a planned time. We've never had to wait long, and I love sitting out on the boardwalk with amazing views.

That's good to know. We are staying at BWI, so I figured we would just walk down there and see if we can get in.

Well, I might have to try that soup. I'm worried since you don't have to make an ADR that we might have to wait a long time, DH doesn't like to wait long. We'll see.

My husband loves a great burger and he has been looking at the Kobe burger. I love steaks and salmon, both are on the menu, I should be fine.

Good to know!! I LOVE the Rock Bottom!!

OP, I hope you dont mind me jumping on your thread, but I have a question too.

If using the free appatizer coupon from joining their email club, it states "not good with any other offer or promotion" Does the Disny dining plan count as an offer or promotion or can I use the coupon and my disney dining plan together?
Does anyone know?

Nope, don't mind at all. I'd love to know about the free appetizer coupon.

It's casual, usually never hard to get into without ADR's. If possible, do eat outside, nice view.

They make a good steak, as another poster said, they have their own version of Beer Cheese Soup, I prefer Le Celliers, but enjoyed it none the less. I happen to be a beer fan and the Beer Flight is good but I prefer the Red Rocket Ale. They serve wine as well. If you eat steak, chicken, pasta, burgers, ribs, seafood, you will find something tasty to eat and you and your husband will have a nice meal, of his choosing, together!

It's just one meal, not a lifetime commitment, it's going to be O.K.!

I see you are going soon, if you use the coupon, let me know how it works (especially if you are also using the dining plan).

Thank you for reminding me. I have been so stressed out lately at work, that I have been stressing about everything else, too. That was just what I needed to hear.

I found it, got my e-mail, and printed it. We are going Saturday night. We won't be on the dining plan, but if I can remember to ask I will, and will let you know.
