I will admit that I was one of those people who would hoard FastPasses during the day. I really thought I would hate the enforcement of the times. It took some planning on my part (and a bit more walking), but I think I like the enforcement. The FastPass lines seemed less congested. It seemed like FastPasses lasted longer (on most rides).

I stand converted. :thumbsup2

What is the new rule?
The New Rule, as decreed by denizens of the Community Board ;), is "The first person responding to a thread shall quote the original post in its entirety" :teeth:

What Buzz is referring to is merely a return to the way things used to be.

We were there a couple of weeks ago and, yes, the rules were inforced. It was fairly orderly and the wait times were not bad for FP or in the FP line.

The one slight deviation was for broken down rides. Big Thunder Railroad was out of service during our return window with no ETA on when it would be back up again. We were told that we could return anytime until closing. Same thing happened with EE when a storm blew in. We could wait it out, or come back later since the ride was not in service.

Last time we were there they were not enforcing it and sometimes it seemed like the fastpass line was longer than the regular line. We especially noticed this when our return time was right after lunch (1-2ish) and dinner (6-7ish). I guess people were just waiting until their dining reservations were done to go on the rides with their fastpass.

We're here now and we definitely saw them enforcing the new rule. I think it's great and as a OP said, the fast pass lines are much faster. :goodvibes

The fast pass rules are definitely enforced and i have seen people turned away who came late. The FP lines are quick and I personally love it!

I agree. I thought it would really limit us, but it didn't.

This is good to hear....I was concerned that the new rules would change the touring plans, but I have heard a lot of possitive feedback....I'll find out for myself in.....(see my ticker :rotfl:)

I'm really pleased to read this from a fellow ex-hoarder of fastpasses :thumbsup2 We are rope drop and EMH people and it was not uncommon for us to have collected around 12 FP's each before noon, having used standby lines before the queues built up. I have been looking at reworking our strategy, but I guess since we collected all our FP's in the first few hours and usually didn't bother getting any more later in the day, we can easily just spread the FP collection times out more evenly through the day. I'm looking forward to testing out what works best for us in 9 days time :)
