Just asking about views for a studio villa at AK Kidani?? What will they be like??

You will have a view of the parking lot, bus stop, or pool. Ours overlooked the bus stop and lobby entrance.

Exactly. We had a room on the same floor as the lobby, kind of half way between the lobby and the pool with a view of the parking lot through some trees and bushes.

I guess I thought that value was the parking lot views.

There are no value villas at Kidani, the only value villas reside at Jambo. If you switched to a standard view studio at Jambo, it would be a pool view or a partially obstructed savannah view.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom standard view at Kidani. Our view was of the valet parking lot, which really wasn't that bad since we were above the parking lots.

There are lots of viewing areas of the savannah at Kidani even as you walk down the hall.

This is our view from a standard studio at Kidani...

I forget what floor we were on, but maybe 2 floors above ground level.

If I remember correctly, we were the blue balcony, to the left of the end palm tree...end of the row sort of.
It was actually a very nice view.

We stayed standard Kidani last year nd it was great. Our balcony window was near the front entrance of the lobby, and it was a pretty view. You could see trees and part of the front of the building. For some odd reason I liked being able to see the lobby. Of course it wasn't an animal viewing area, but there were other areas throughout the resort. And, we were happy just to be at AKL. The plus was our room was located very close to the main lobby, in all it was a great trip. Wish I was there now!!!

We rented points for a value studio at Kidani last year, now you may be correct that Kidani has no value studios, but we only paid for a value even if it wasn't lol! We were on the 3rd floor with a balcony looking right over the entrance on the far right closest to the edge of the building. Not a great view, but good enough for me!

So how did you get a "value" villa at Kidani. They don't have them there. You should have been at Jambo House. You must have gotten a standard view instead??

Partially off topic here, but hopefully helpful to the original poster. What kitchen supplies are in the standard studio kitchen of a Jambo House villa? Bowls, spoons, plates, etc? Coffee packets? Wish they had a Kurig.

What room requests should I make to have the best hopes of a savannah or partial savannah view?

Thanks!!

I posted an answer on your other thread.

In a studio, since they don't have a range, they have some of the paper product type plates, forks, knives, napkins. They had standard drip type coffee makers, as of our last visit last July. During your stay, they give one of the caffeinated pre-packed coffees, and one decaffeinated, and one of what they describe as the coffee service, with stir sticks, sugar, sweetener, etc, for two cups of coffee. They have hot beverage paper cups for the coffee. I always bring my coffee from home, because I am not sure how fresh the coffee in the packets is. Maybe the same packet has been in the room about 3 mos, for all I know. If you are staying on points, you only get the one packet of coffee, but, I think you can buy more (another reason why I bring coffee, filters and measuring spoon from home). In my experience, it's sort of hit or miss with the plates and stuff--I've usually had to restock from either the counter service area or try to find housekeeping to get things. There is a microwave and a small refrigerator.

When we stayed at AKV-Kindani -standard view room in 2009, we stayed on the fourth floor near lobby and overlooked the bus stop. we rarely stay in our room enough at WDW to be overly concerned about the view but the savannah at AKV is so peaceful that I believe having a savannah view would have been really nice. But that said there are many viewing areas to enjoy the animals and savannahs. When choosing between jambo and kindani there are many pros and cons to each. At Kindani we loved the quiet, small size, newness, room and lobby decor, smell, the pool, and being the first bus stop. But we found ourselves heading over to jambo frequently for many things, including food.
