Well, what a pants Summer we're having so far. Instead of wearing shorts and strappy tops and eating salads, we're even having to put the heating on :sad2: It's not very encouraging is it ?

So, how is your dieting going ? Please share how you're getting on, whether it's good or bad. Let's see if we can give each other a little bit more encouragement and motivation before the Summer ends (what do you mean, when did it start ? ;))

Make the most of our 'Beach Bod' thread, as in a month or so, it will be the 'Christmas Cracker' thread :rotfl::rotfl: :santa:

:wizard::wizard: Good Luck this month everyone :wizard::wizard:

I'm not dieting for a beach bod for this year, but I have 14 months to go until my next trip back 'home' to WDW and am starting to think about loosing some more weight.

I have a total of about 10 kgs to loose, although I'm not sure I can go that low as I've tried before and have 2 kids since then!!

I'm trying to choose healthier options where I can and have been doing some sit ups and been exercising on my cross trainer too a few times a week.

Last week I lost 2.2 kgs :-)cool1:) but this week, since Monday I have somehow put on 300 gms, so I've lost a total of 1.9 kgs (just over 4 lbs) so I'm quite happy. That's been since last Monday 23rd Aug.

How's everyone else doing?
Good luck!

:)

I am the gold medal winner in yo yo ( dieting ) and at the current moment am the heaviest I have ever been so Monday I started Slimming World .... with the aim of losing 1-2 stones. 1 would be great, 2 would be incredible. Going ok so far ... no beach holiday for me, just need to get healthy and hopefully keep it off until we cruise again in 2013.

well after my good weight loss last week and obviously not eating since the death of david last friday I have lost another 6lb this week. Not the way to loose it but I suppose grief has taken over. My target looks like it might be here sooner than I thought:sad:

Just weighed in and another 2lbs gone this is the longest I have stuck at and the most successful I have been for years. For the first time I actually believe I can get to Goal :cool1:

Good luck to Everybody this Month :cheer2::thumbsup2

I've had a rubbish week this week! But hey ho, I'll pick myself up and dust myself off and carry on. I have been really good today (even tho it's Saturday and I always struggle at the weekend!).

Well done to everyone else tho.
:cool1:

Sorry I've neglected this thread, but after a few fun weekends, my diet seems to have gone out of the window, and I really can't get myself motivated

Thankfully I'm keeping up with my Zumba, so that will keep me a bit more fitter, but at the moment I seem to eat anything that isn't nailed down

Hopefully I will be able to get myself back on track soon

:dance3: Well done to those of you who have lost or STS ..

pixiedust: .. and Good Luck to us all over the next week

I have been working flat out for weeks to pay for this holiday! and have missed a few ww's meetings, i'm going to cancel my month membership as i'm wasting money.. I still weigh the same at home so with missing the meets I haven't put any on which I'm pleased about! after my hols I will be trying the Harcombe Diet, I have the book to read, at a glance it seems to make sense so I'll give it a go
Good luck to all that are weighing in this week! :)

Hello everyone, checking in after being AWOL - just lazing around watching the Olympics, nothing very exciting.

My diet is going along okay - definitely more of a marathon than a sprint. Not sure where I'd got up to on the last thread but I've had a couple of STS weeks and one week where I lost 1 1/2 lbs. My total is now at 17 lbs which I'm pleased about (providing I don't dwell on how long it's taken me to get here).

Although I've not been losing much weight, I've noticed a definite change to my behaviour around food and I find it much easier to refuse or not have so much so I think something has really worked this time. My blood sugars continue to be well within the target level and I've gone down a dress size.

Will be back to checking in at least weekly now that life is beginning to return to normal (back to work, where the warehouse is beginning to fill up with Christmas things, Quality Street, Roses and Celebration tins so you're right Mandy, it looks like summer is just about over before it really got started).

Here's hoping to a glorious Autumn, where the weight will 'Fall' off!

Managed to lose 1.5 lbs this week on SW ... making it a total of a 5lb loss in 2 weeks since starting it. Looking forward now to hitting that half stone mini target!::yes::

Mandy have a read here, it makes sense of losing weight!!

Thanks Jeanette, I'll take a look at that :)

 It's great to see that you're still losing Louise, slow and steady wins the race, keep up the good work ::yes::

:woohoo: Well done Sarah, how is Slimming World working for you ? Are you enjoying it ?

Well, it was weigh in Wednesday yesterday and I lost 1/2 lb! What I hadn't realised was that I'd STS for the last 3 weeks so it was good to finally see some movement! Usually at this point I would have given up and thought "that's i"t but I'm determined to win the battle this time and not let my body beat me - it will give up the extra weight!

Starting to look forward to September now, I'm sure when the children get back to school and normality kicks in, life will get easier (busier at least).

Less than a year now until Florida so the DC wetsuit diet is definnitely on!

Good luck to everyone with your weigh ins this week.

:cool1: Well done on losing 1/2lb after STS for a few weeks Louise

You've done well not to lose motivation after STS, so keep up the good work ::yes::

Hi all - 6 weeks till we leave and I want to drop a dress size. I have lost 21lbs this year from my heaviest (should have been more if I had stuck to a diet!!)

So back on WW strictly for the next 6 weeks - except a friend came round today with lunch & cake & I was too polite to say no so had to fit in a quick walk this afternoon and will be having a very very light small tea :rolleyes2

Sadly my diet is well and truly out of the window at the moment :( I think it's because my stress levels are through the roof as my girls are off to California with a friend on Monday for 10 days, then my eldest daughter starts a 3 month internship in London as soon as they get back

Hopefully I'll get back on track soon pixiedust:
