Yet another n00b question from a 1st-timer:
We sail on the Magic in 3 days (squee!!) and I am finalizing my packing. Finally!
I saw the DCL souvenir water bottle on the DCL checkin/gifts & amenities page, and it has me seriously debating whether I want to bring my own bottle.
"DCL Water Bottle - Keep hydrated and stay refreshed with this collectible water bottle - Item 2168, $13 - Stay hydrated with this collectible 25oz DCL water bottle designed in a modern, slender shape. The easy-grip feature and no-spill sports top make quick sips a cinch when you're on-the-go."
We tend to like travel mugs or water bottles for our souvenirs, so we have plenty of choices. We WERE going to bring our own sturdy water bottles from home...but they are tall and narrow enough that they're obnoxious to stuff anything into other than underwear. CLEAN underwear... (The thought of anything else...ew!)
Anyway, I am seriously thinking of getting a couple of DCL souvenir water bottles, because it would be a nice souvenir to add to our collection, and that way I don't have to pack others to take along--especially given the massive quantities of junk food I've bought as little "thank you" gifts for our various CMs!
1) Is the water bottle available onboard? (I'm assuming YES, because otherwise that would just be silly.)
2) Is it better to buy it ahead of time, while I still can, and have it in the room--or is it easy to go get one in whatever gift shops they have on the Magic?
3) Is it even WORTH buying, or is it some super-flimsy plastic material that will not last? They look pretty nice, but if they're that thin plastic you can practically squeeze in half, it may not be worth it. Ours are very sturdy, like Nalgene-bottle-type material.
4) Oooh...just thought. Are they BPA free? (If anyone has one and knows.)
Okay, that's enough questions!
Thanks for helping a clueless n00b figure out the final details on our first cruise!
