CSR or POFQ

I've been reading to much. Just changed from CBR to POFQ. Is CSR better than POFQ? We have DD2 and DD16 ( from Azerbaijan only Disney trip). Never stayed on property. I did like the fact of the boat ride to DTD. We plan on spending some time at the resort. We don't need a restaurant though, so not a big factor. I seem to want POR, but nothing is available, and I check a couple times a day. HELP I'm getting resort confused... LOL CSR is $14 more expensive.

"Is CSR better than POFQ?" They are both great resorts, but for us, we prefer POFQ for the theme of New Orleans -Mardi Gras. We enjoy the boat ride to DTD. The pool slide is very kid friendly, it is very tame, great for young children. I love the fact that this resort is very compact. Any building you stay at an easy walk to the lobby. You can stroll down along the river to POR and use their amenities since they are sister resorts. Enjoy your stay at POFQ!!

I think you would be happy at either one. POFQ is smaller and more quaint and CSR is more spread out. I think CSR has a better pool and food choices but the boat to DTD from POFQ is nice. I'd be happy at either :)

Very well said. I agree. Both are lovely. I love the boat to DTD. It all depends on your wants and needs. We picked CSR for the longer pool slide (great pool) and better food court offerings plus a TS restaurant. However POFQ is better if you have small kids. Oh and the beignets are awesome!!!!

Just a difficult choice. We normally rent a townhouse, so staying property is becoming overwhelming. I sometimes second guess us moving from CBR to POFQ. I guess it's just pressure to make it perfect since we are celebrating DD2 3rd bday since hers is Christmas, and with DD16 her only trip I want her to share the magical experience with her family in Azerbaijan. With such a big age difference I want to make sure both have a decent time. I just wonder if we go to CSR with the longer slide can she wear her puddle pusher(type of life vest) she can swim fairly well, but the pressure gets overwhelming on slides for her. I haven't even looked at POR amenities. I should check the pool, and activities for there out.

We enjoy all the Mods, so you should have a great time at which ever one you pick:) Remember even if staying at POFQ you can walk or take the boat to POR and they have (IMO) the best food court, use their pool and you can take in a great family show with Yeehaa Bob or even rent a carriage ride.

What she said..:cool1:

One thing I didn't mention in another post was the Pepper Market is a buffet now, & you only have to use a QS credit..
Now weigh that vs. the Beignets and you have a tuff choice, because as Goofy has stated they are definetely Heavanly.....:coffee:

It's nice that the buffet is a QS meal. The day we arrive we plan on eating QS for our dinner. Our TS for that night we are actually using for breakfast for the day we leave. I will have to have som Beignets I love them. Maybe we will just stay POFQ. I think DH is getting sick of questions.

No don't do it....CSR to us is like a Deluxe-Lite...IMHO...Wayyy to many things over the other mods..LoL

This is too funny - you sound JUST like me with your second guessing and driving the hubby nuts! But, here's my review - We went in February of this year and LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the POFQ. I guess it's all what you want in a hotel but for us, we liked the smaller size of the resort. My son enjoyed the pool and it was, overall, just a great resort.

The food options were just fine for us. We split a breakfast platter one morning and only used 1 QS meal....it wasn't a huge amount of food but it was a good variety and there was something for everyone to nibble on before we ran off to the parks. We packed a few meals up for the drive home as well and it was all delicious!

The buses were fantastic. We rarely had to wait and they don't share with another resort so you'll get a direct route to each park. Oh, and as other have mentioned, the boat ride to DTD is great - very relaxing and enjoyable.

We are heading back in December but this time we're at POR. At first, I was so disappointed because we wanted POFQ but by the time we decided to book it, those rooms were already taken. So, like you, I've been bothering my hubby with the "do you think POR will be OK or should be pay more to go elsewhere???" He's about to move out of the house until we go on vacation! lol

Anyway, I really think you'll enjoy your stay at POFQ. If not, call me and I'll come take your place! :) Good luck.

One of the members last weeks said they checked and POFQ was available, and when I checked it was available for our dates also. I actually really wanted POR. Both were booked when I booked originally the end of July, so I went with CBR. I still check for POR, but then I hear good things about CSR..lol.. It's driving me crazy. I think I am going to stay with POFQ. May change if POR rooms in the non mansions open( can't remember the name). If we stayed there everyone would have a separate bed. I feel odd with DD2 almost 3 sleeping with DD16 (exchange student). Im an only child, so I'm not sure on sharing beds.

Just so you know, at CSR the pepper market is a buffet at breakfast and lunch only (yes, its a QS credit).....there is no buffet at dinner. Its a standard food court at dinner time. Hope this helps.

We have had fabulous stays at both resorts but for a 16 year old I think CSR might be a better choice. The pool at FQ is really geared more to young kids while the pool at CSR is huge and has something for everyone. And yes, the little one can wear the lifevest on the slide with no problem -- my DD wore hers until she could swim well without it. I know you said that dining wasn't an issue but the choices at CSR are better than at POFQ and, sorry everyone, I didn't like the Beignets.:confused3

While I really loved both resorts, I would pick POFQ over CSR for the smaller size. I loved that everything was just mts. from our room. I did way too much walking at CSR. With that being said though i don't think you can go wrong with either.
