Can someone tell me if Costa Maya was hit hard? Did it force the Aug 11 fantasy cruise to go elsewhere?

Can someone tell me if Costa Maya was hit hard? Did it force the Aug 11 fantasy cruise to go elsewhere?

The August 11 cruise was always an Eastern. Last weeks was a Western but they did Eastern to stay out of the way of the storm.

I believe Costa Maya had minor damage. Ernesto was only a Cat 1, not like the Cat 5 that destroyed the port 5 years ago. They should be up and running in no time.

Thank you everyone for the concerning emails and facebook messages, yes we got a direct by Ernesto a catagory 2 hurricane. With the high winds, all the palapas were destroyed along with lots of water damage. We did have zero access to phones, internet, and electricity for up to five days, and still have no power in the day time. Currently at this time, it is still difficult to communicate with everyone, however, thanks to all and I will be in touch.
