Before I write anything else, I just want to apologize ahead of time for the extremely corny title. I've been trying to think of something for weeks, without any luck. Then last night, as I lay in bed at about 11:30 pm (still unable to fall asleep even though my alarm would be ringing in about 3 hours), I thought of this. As the title says, this will be a live trip report, complete with pictures.

So if I haven't already lost you with my lack-of-sleep rambling, I will start out with a few details about our trip:

Who: My husband and I...the picture below is from a previous Disney trip. He might post on here too; his username is disneydude1979.

Where: Our past two trips we stayed at the All Star Music and the Polynesian. This time, we will be staying at Pop Century! We have requested a standard king room, so crossing my fingers we get it!

When: 8/11-8/19 (eight nights, nine days!)

Why: Do we ever need a why to go to Walt Disney World!? However, we did choose these specific dates to coincide with our first wedding anniversary this Monday.

Other details: We are doing the Deluxe Dining Plan. We like having a few breakfasts in the park before it opens, as well as eating at two-credit restaurants sometimes, so it works out the best for us. Plus, it's nice to have all of our meals already paid for, and we can try appetizers too! The only downside is that it's a LOT of food, and sometimes we don't eat our whole meals!

I think that's everything background wise. If anyone has any questions, let me know! Live reporting from the plane in my next post!

I followed you over from the Pop thread and am really looking forward to following your trip! I'm a huge Pop fan! Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary!! :goodvibes

This morning our alarm went off bright and early at 2:45 am. Well, it was early at least--definitely not bright yet!! Originally, we had a 10 am flight scheduled because I did NOT want to get up so ridiculously early! However, they cancelled that flight, so it was either a 6 am flight or a 2 pm flight. Wanting to make the most of our first day, we just decided to suck it up and take the earlier flight.

We managed to get ready and on the road by 3:45 or so, and had a half an hour drive to the airport. Unfortunately, I had to put up with my husband's horrible singing to the radio on the way there. I love him, but he is seriously tone deaf. He was the one driving, though, so anything to keep him awake and happy was good!

When we first arrived at the airport, we were surprised at how dead everything looked. I mean, it was early, but we thought we would at least see a few people around. Then we realized we had accidentally gone to arrivals instead of departures! Oops!!! Three hours of sleep will do that to you!

We circled back to departures, which was at least a little busier looking.

My husband went to park the car while I checked our large bag. The timing actually worked out great; he was already there by the time I had checked our bag! We headed on up to security and got through very quickly--five minutes tops (here's hoping for wait times like that at Disney!)

Another 30-45 minutes later, we boarded the plane, and here we are, halfway to Disney World already! The cloud covering scattered already, but I got this pretty picture before it did:

Another hour or so and we will be boarding Magical Express!

Enjoy!

Looks like clear skies. Good Disney weather:)

How was the parking situation at phl? We head out Monday and dh is worried it may be filled and shuttle will take forever.

Have an awesome trip!

Parking at PHL was actually not bad. My husband said he actually got a spot near the exit and was able to walk to the AirTran entrance in five minutes or less without even taking the shuttle. Of course, we parked at 4:30 am or so, so it probably depends on what time you are leaving. (Southwest is also at the same entrance as AirTran if you are going with them.)

Aww, that stinks :-( ...but I bet January will be even cooler and less busy! Thanks for the anniversary wishes!

Thanks for the info. It will put dh's mind at ease! We're taking airtran too.

Thanks for doing a live report - it's will keep me sane until we get there!

Happy Anniversary! Have a great trip :thumbsup2 We are arriving Friday celebrating our 15th anniversary :goodvibes

Our flight landed safely at MCO a little bit after eight, and we headed over to what I like to call the "fake monorail" right away.

Even though we have been to WDW twice in the past three years, somehow we managed to forget how to get to Magical Express and got slightly lost!

After asking a couple of TSA people for directions, we finally made it...

They scanned our papers, and we headed over to line up for the bus.

We totally lucked out and were able to board almost immediately!

Now we are just waiting for the bus to pull out and the video to start...wait, scratch that--pulling out now!!!! :woohoo:
