66 days out and going crazy

So many variables have come into play for us and it's driving me nuts! We have 2 LM rooms booked, one for 4 days and one for 6 (it's me, DH, DD, MIL, and FIL). AirTran changed our flight schedule, and now I'm thinking I want to get on a much earlier flight. I'm also worried that if we stay on the current flight and get to AoA at 10:30pm, we won't get our main request which is ground floor adjoining rooms. I just had to explain to my FIL that we are not guaranteed adjoining rooms and part of me is hoping he says to change to a suite.

So here is my main question...Other than the obvious more time at WDW, would you change to the earlier flight in hopes of getting your room requests? I'm worried that others will have switched their rooms around at check in and we will not be anywhere near eachother, or in the farthest possible room...

I don't think it's going to matter and really wouldn't sweat about it. The only reason to take an earlier flight if you want to spend another day at the park. If you arrive and find out your request was not made or not to your liking ask to be switched!

Hi, IMHO the earlier you arrive at your resort the BETTER your chances of getting your requests. After all if the type of room(s) you are requesting have all been filled you are out of luck for the 1st nite (at least). There would be the possibility of moving on the 2nd day if your room request was to become available. But that means you have to pack up and wait till late afternoon again possibly to get into your new room. So I would say if you can get on an earlier flight, do it!! :) Joan

We would do earlier....always! You never know about delays etc. Plus, if you don't get what you want they may have better options to switching you earlier in the day. Not to mention....more Disney time!

I would only change them if I didn't have to pay more to AirTran. Penalties and possoble differences in fares could be substantial. I would also call Disney and ask them to note your room preferences.

Thanks everyone!

The requests are noted on the reservation already, but I've heard plenty of stories of those being ignored.

I shouldn't have any changes or penalties from AirTran because they changed the schedule on us...

We've never had any problems getting connecting rooms in the 5 times I have traveled with my family. We've arrived at various times of the day and most often seperately. If you call Disney and have them "connect" the two reservations, you are almost certain to get connecting rooms. Good luck on your trip and have fun!:)
