Does anyone know why there is almost nothing available right now for wanna get away fares. I'm looking at 2 different dates and locations and there is nothing at either place. I'm really just hoping that they are updating something. One fare is for Nov and the other is for Feb

For the most part, those fares sell out quickly as soon as dates are released and unless you are traveling at an off-peak time they are not likely to return. Keep your eyes open for fare sales and check back regularly to see if lower fares become available.

Maybe their system is still recovering from Friday's "LUV" sale.

OR if you are looking too close to President's Day Week or Thanksgiving it could be accurate.

We went to Disney last February and they had some great deals released on Black Friday. It seems that the sweet spot is usually about 2 months out for Southwest deals

There was tons this morning and now there is not one flight home. We are doing disney and then I have a 3 day disney cruise to surprise my family at the end of our vacation. I'm going to have to cancel if we can't find a way home. =*(

I just noticed the same thing, and it wasn't like that earlier in the day. I definitely think it is something is going not the fares being sold out.

I just seen it too on SW site. I have been keeping an eye on the prices, because half our party still need their coming home flight. it did not look like that earlier, because I'm on it all day. I hope it is just a site problem, but every month has only the straight through flights available.:confused3
I came here hoping someone had an answer on why it was happening..:confused3....just don't know.

I just tried for October 20th and "wanna get away" said something like not enough advance purchase. Something is wrong, it's over 2 months away!

whew! I'm so relieved to know it wasn't just me. I checked some flights for November to decide which days would be best/cheaper to fly. Then I went to Disney site to book our trip. Returned back to Southwest only to see that all the flights on those days disappeared. I have been in a panic since. I've already told DH to be prepared to drive the 12 hours. Now I know it must be a glitch in their system. I'll definitely keep checking:scared:

So happy to see this!! Thought I was going to have to cancel our trip!! I'll check tomorrow. :)

I saw it this morning, too. The non-stop flights seem to be there (or SOME of them), but nothing else. I thought they were merging schedules between SW and AT, but it could be another glitch like Friday's, or the results of that. :scared:

I'm looking at December (8th to 14th) flights, and they're DEFINITELY not sold out this early.

I was also freaking out... I've been checking fares for end of November/early December for the past week or so and suddenly every "wanna get away" fare for every flight, every day just disappeared. As others have said, it says something like "More advance purchase required". I almost cried when I saw the ridiculous fares listed... $700 for a roundtrip flight from Nashville to Orlando??!!! Not gonna happen! I am hoping, with Southwest still recovering from the fiasco of the last week, with customers getting charged multiple times, they are just working on updating the website.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm trying to book a flight in January from Houston to Orlando and it was unavailable this morning. Looking further into it I noticed EVERY single Wanna Get Away flight from Houston to Orlando was "unavailable" from Dec 15 - the current March schedule date. I find it hard to believe that every WGA flight for almost three months straight suddenly became unavailable overnight! :sad2:

One thought I had...
Maybe they deliberately took the WGA fares down (for most flights) til they fix last week's problem. :confused3

Well I hope the customer service rep with SWA is mistaken, but she said that they had a huge promotion this weekend released on FB and she looked at my flights home from WDW (Dec. 16) and she said the wanna get away fares are sold out!!!

I hope she is mistaken. FINGERS CROSSED!:sad2:

She is mistaken, because the sale was only 5 different dates I believe, and if you check every month, you'll see all the layover flights are not available. I check SW site this morning and still no mention about what is going on..
It really doesn't affect me, I have my tickets straight through. My DH has to get his going and I'm making him buy it today! and my DB has to get his coming home which both tickets are for non stop. I hope someone who needs the layovers find out from SW what is happening and is able to get their tickets.

Thank Goodness!! I found it very hard to believe they sold out that fast! I watch it everyday and I've never, in all the years that I've flown Southwest, seen this before! They need to hurry and fix it!! ;) 'Bout gave me a heart attack.
