Kon Tiki Sightseeing and Beach Cruise ???

I'm interested, too. Any info? :confused3

What beach does it go to? Is it a rough ride? Are there bathrooms on board the boat?

My DH and DD (14 months) just did this DCL port adventure about 3 weeks ago. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The boat picks you up right by the Fantasy and it was not a rough ride at all. There were bathrooms on it but didn't use them.

There is a steel band playing throughout your time on the boat. There's a top part also to get some sun and see the sights a bit better. Also they give a history and point out different sights as you travel. The staff was so nice and fun. There's complimentary punch and water from the time you board. Alcohol and snacks are available for purchase.

For us it was a smooth ride out to Water Island where the beach was Honeymoon Beach. They did have glass bottom for a bit before getting to the beach.

We were at the beach for more than an hour. :beach:

On way back the party started where there was dancing and a limbo contest. Most people on this were families. Not a booze cruise at all.

Any other questions just ask! Hope this helped.

Alohagirl73, thanks for the info!

Was the beach very crowded? From what I have read their are other shore excursions that also go to Honeymoon Beach. I was wondering if it is less crowded than Magens Bay.

Bumping because I would like to know too :)

We just did the Kon Tiki this past week, and our family was not overly impressed. Getting on the boat was easy but then we had to sail over to another cruise ship to pick up more cruisers. The ride over to Honeymoon Beach was nice, but the beach itself was very rocky and I thought pretty crowded. On our cruises before we did an excursion over to St. John, and I wish that was what we did this time. St. John was so much more beautiful for the ride over and the beach time.

Hated it. We should have went to St. John's. Everybody's opinion is just that I guess.
