Disney Moms Panel Wannabe/Rejected VA/MD meet! Postponed

Ok, guys -- tomorrow is the date ... is anyone still going??

Tania -- it may be just you and me ... if so, do we want to bring some/all of our girls along and let them play in Disney store, American Girl Doll store, playground, etc and we can just go to the food court for lunch?

Or we can just meet the 2 of us.

Where do we want to meet? The Disney store?

I wrote down all of the names of people who had written in this thread. I can send them a PM with the date, time and location just as a reminder in case their schedule opens up. thoughts?

If we need to try to reschedule, that's fine too.

I'm still excited to meet everyone and hope it can actually happen!

I don't know what happened to everyone! I'm up for whatever. If we want to reschedule when more people can come, that's cool with me. If it's just you and me, I would actually prefer to meet earlier when it's less crowded. A couple of my girls are sick, so I'd rather leave them at home to get all their germs out so they can be healthy for the trip. Or we can wait until Disney, too-OKW baby!

I guess it's been a while since I've been back to the DISboards -- sorry that I never got back in touch about the meetup, but I completely missed all the messages. Sounds like the Moms Panel Search is coming up again in the next couple of months. Here's hoping that the DC metro area is well represented this year too!

Hello, my DC area Dissers!

Have you been to the new Disney Tysons store yet? We've been twice now and love it! I think they did an awesome job with the castle, pathways, video on the trees, etc. Love the kiddie area to watch Disney shows/movies, too.

Marsha -- yes, we have enjoyed the new Disney store at Tysons a couple of times. We were lucky enough to go once when it was relatively quiet, and one of the employees was pointing out the themed murals on the wall. Great concept! I think she said that they're going to try and renovate more of their stores in that manner.

Actually, as much as my girls looooove Disney, they are big fans of the American Girl store now too. We've spent a couple of dollars there since it opened last year.

yeah, we haven't done the AG doll thing ...yet... I know it's coming. Right now we just bought the chair that AG sells that attaches to the table and DD7 uses it for her Tiana 18" doll, which is her current favorite.

I'm still upset that Disney left Dulles Town Center (our closest mall) but I do like the new store.

I live in Northern Virginia too! I live very close to Loudoun County (Gainesville/Haymarket). I would love to know about any meets planned in the future.

I saw plans for the Tysons meetup on the Round 2 board and hoped to join you all -- unfortunately I just realized it will conflict with my daughter's last field hockey game of the season (and I'm single parenting next weekend since my husband is out of town). Bummed that I'll miss it. Hope you all have fun!
