HHN website

It's when the local school systems are out on Friday or Monday (depending on the school system) and that brings in LOTS of local kids during those two weeks. HHN is insanely busy during those nights.
So, what 2 weeks is that? I want to make sure I avoid those 2 weeks in the future.

one year the schools were out wed, thur, fri.

got stuck in that crowd so i stick with the 3rd weekend or the columbus day period.

When you see a Wednesday night on the HHN calendar, that's Hell Week. Even though Halloween falls on Wednesday this year, that's not considered Hell Week since the schools are on a regular schedule.

Thanks for sharing.
many newbies to this thread start reading from where they come in.
it's good you are giving a heads up express is available.

the website listed prices on friday so some of us have our orders in.
my hhn tickets were done that day.

I'm leaning to AP Rush of Fear @ $54.99+ since I just need 10/4 & 10/5. I can't justify paying $59.99+ for the express pass for just the one night I'd need it (Thursday, 10/4) since I still have to buy MNSSHP tix. Here's hoping that thursday is again relatively dead;).

mac - do you recall how much was the S&H on the tix this year?

I'm just waiting for the tours to come out to call and buy everything at once. Rush of Fear plus Express plus UTH tour.

Cheers!

Marquibiri :thumbsup2

keisha, i don't know where my notes are, so can't answer you on that one.

either the print at home or kiosk pick up has a $2.15 service fee.

i'm hoping you spring for the express for that thursday.
last year we parted ways about 10:20 due to the lines.

crossing my fingers that the lines are not long this year on thursday the entire evening.

you and me both!
i'll be booking both tours when it is published
.

So it's me the newbie again... with more questions. :confused3
What are the tours? And are they worth doing it? Any other info(on the tours) you think would be useful to me, please share. Thanks

UTH is a day tour which cost me $55 last year.

you get to go thru 3 houses with the lights on.

the tour guide will explain background, set up, etc of the house.

you first meet in the vip tour lounge for a briefing, q & a session, maybe a quick video with your tg. this portion varies depending on tg.
then you are taken to 3 select houses to tour.
this is about a 2 hour tour.

last few years these tours were held at 11 and 2 on select days.
you need a park ticket to do the tour.

Non private tours maximum number have varied in the last few years and it has been 10 or 12. Rates are based on whether it is a peak night or not. The difference is that non private tours are shorter and include all houses and bill and ted show. You are grouped with other parties and your tour guide has an itinerary. private tours include only your party, are longer tours, and the tour is tailored to your needs. You can ride rides and repeat houses and rides as you wish.

You were patient to wait in line with us dead beats;). The thought has crossed my mind that it might be much more crowded from the get-go that night too:crazy2: since they have more mainstream-recognizable offerings announced this year.

This will be our first year and we will be going to HHN on 10/6 & 7. I have looked everywhere and been able to find the hours for HHN. I know that they let people in at 6:30, we will already be in the waiting area at Finnigans(made a dinner reservation for 10/6) but when is it over these nights?

What is the latest i will be allowed into Stay and scream, well getting into front of the park. We will not be staying for the day just want to get there before gates close. We do stay and scream every year but we always get there around 3:30 hoping we can get in at 5.

We usually eat at Finnegans. Any other holding areas that offer food?

Thanks

Will call and kiosk pick up were both free, (I didn't notice a print at home) and US FedEx shipping is $14.

However, there is a processing fee of $2.02 per ticket.

I would not chance it shooting for 5 as it is very unlikely that you will be able to enter by then. As mac said, once the metal detectors go up you're out of luck. We always make sure we are in the park by 4:30. I believe mac said she usually shoots for 4:45 but I definitely wouldn't push it past then.
