We went to a nearby local attraction, Longwood Gardens, a few days ago and I took some pictures on my iPhone. I played around with them on Instagram, put them into a couple of collage's and....I think they turned out pretty nice. Thought you'd like to see.

After that I have to install instagram!

Pretty Flowers. That is a neat Instagram collage. I will have to check that feature out !! Thanks for sharing !!

Really pretty garden pictures! I think Rose is determined to win the Judy sighting contest, even if she has to enlist help to do it! You go girl!! :thumbsup2

Those HAD to be forgeries!!!! :rolleyes1

I wish they were. I really do. :sad2:

Oooo... very pretty! Love the fountains! :-)

Thanks Timmy. That was taken during a fountain show with "Stars and Stripes Forever" playing.

Hey wait, thought I was already on the board before this for a bonus point or something............ :confused3

New TR, new game. :)

BTW, I especially like the close ups of the lily pads and the flowers, especially the one on the right.......... :thumbsup2

That's an orchid on the right. I didn't want to do too much with the Instagram filters with that one because the original colors were so magnificent that the filters actually made it look worse, or dull.

I thi8nk I see a reflection of Judy in the Lily pads !!!;):rotfl2:

She wasn't even along on that particular day, so that would've been quite a trick.

Glen I work 8pm til7 am every day 7 days a week !!So are ya gonna update then !!!!;):lmao:

I think Marv would like me to put up a chapter every day at about 6:30 am...that's usually when he's posting comments.

Sorry Rosie.............now if you had said you saw a Hidden Mickey in the lily pads, you might have been on to something.......:lmao:

Ha! Yes, there were probably a few of them!

I'll check my Hidden Mickey Book!!!:lmao:

Disney's reach is far.

Lovely pictures! What's the background of the area?

One of the DuPont family members purchased it in the early 20th century and basically developed it into what it is today. He died in the 1950's and it became a foundation that is open to the public (for a daily entrance fee or an annual membership) year-round. Here's the Longwood Gardens home page and a wikipedia page.

After that I have to install instagram!

It's free and easy. The collage was put together with a separate free app, Photo Collage Free.

That was the pretrip contest. :snooty:
I guess we are starting over??? :confused3

Yeah new TR, new game. Several of you are neck and neck at 1 win each, so far.

Very nice garden pictures! :goodvibes

Thanks Sara.

No problem. I mentioned above that the collage was actually done with a separate app, Photo Collage Free.

Thank you!

Yes, Rosie really wants to win, no doubt.

Wow, very impressive. Thanks so much for sharing. I love interesting places to visit that also have a history.

WOW -Love the pictures. They turned out great! Love Longwood and I haven't been there in the warm weather in forever!

Loving the pictures of the garden! Anything to do with the beauty of the outdoors is good in my book. :goodvibes

Incredible pictures!

It is hard to believe that the grounds were actually part of a residence! How great that it continues to be a place for so many to go enjoy the beauty of the property.

Longwood Gardens always makes me giggle. When I was a kid, we took a field trip with my day summer camp and our bus driver totally missed turning into the Gardens and we wound up in Delaware. :rotfl:

Sorry, I was on painkillers and my reading comprehension skills were dulled. Sigh ... I fell down the stairs and hurt my ankle real bad. I hope it heals before our next trip in 6 weeks. Will check out Photo Collage Free :goodvibes

I'm very happy to oblige!

Hola Sam! Cheers!

You should go, you'd go picture-taking crazy. I haven't even looked at the pictures I took of the Light show yet....just from the back of the camera. I'm not sure that they turned out that well since I only used a monopod. A tripod would've been better.

I think you'd love this place Camille.

Thanks Dee. Yeah, not a bad place to live, huh?
