When do Halloween decorations go up and the Halloween Party start?

We are considering pushing our annual August trip to September in 2013. Just wondering what week we can expect the decorations to come up and the Halloween Party to start?

Also, do all the resorts/parks decorate for Halloween or just Magic Kingdom? Thanks :)

MK is the only thing decorated.None of the other parks ( though DTD has a few decorations) and none of the resorts decorate( except maybe a few pumpkins on the check in desk)

Usually mid-September. Last year it was September 13, this year it's the 11. If you want to make sure you're there for the parties, I would plan for the week after that in 2013.

Hi!
I believe the first Party is Sept 11.
The Magic Kingdom begins to decorate for Halloween at the very end of August. We're there the last week of August every year (sometimes to Sept 1 or 2), and at the last part of our stay, the decorations start going up on Main Street. I'm sure that the decorating will be complete by the first Party date.
Have Fun. The Not So Scary Parade and Fireworks are FABULOUS!!!

Its just the Magic Kingdown - but one extra bonus you get if you go in September - Epcot has its Food and Wine festival....

We have been going every year - but now with kids - well a newborn actually not sure if we will make it this year (hopefully next).

But if your kids are old enough (not sure what that might be) they might actually enjoy trying some different worldly foods - I am sure you will - Filet Mignon from South Africa with a Shiraz, Churrasco and a caipirinha...might make Mickey's not so scary parade a secondary priority....hahahaha!

Enjoy!

Do you need a park admission ticket if you have the MNSSHP ticket? We are not getting the park hopper passes and may go to a different park the day we are going to the MNSSHP.

Nope, just the party ticket will get you into MK as early as 4pm (in past years). We won't know if that entry time will remain the same until the first party rolls around, but I expect 4pm to still be the time.
