Hello, DISers, and WELCOME to the happiest, coolest (thank you, Stacey) trip report on Earth!
I'm so glad you've decided to join me for this, as it's gonna be a fun one. We had an amazing trip with below-average crowds, great weather, and lots of delicious foods. I have many stories to share and I can't wait to get started!
First of all, for those of you who don't know, I'm Kara. I'm 22 and I've been Disney obsessed for as long as I can remember. And I'm one of those weirdos who has vivid memories from fairly early on in life, so I've been a Disney fan for a long time. Trust me. This is my third trip report here on the DIS. The first two are linked in my signature just in case you wanna catch up. Or re-read them. Because, let's be real, they were both works of art.
Other things you should know about me:
~ I am addicted to Mickey Rice Krispy Treats. They are the food of the gods. Y'all can have your Dole Whips and your Mickey Premium Bars, I'm sticking with the good stuff. Literally. Get it? Because Rice Krispy Treats are sticky. ...I also enjoy lame jokes.
~ I firmly believe that it's not an official trip to WDW until you've watched 543209343 loops of Stacey and her Must-Dos.
~ Hercules is my favorite Disney movie and I hate how underused it is in the parks. Including Go the Distance in Wishes is not enough, people! I am not satisfied.
~ Dr. Seeker (from Dinosaur) and I have some serious beef. That guy is a jerk.
~ I share a birthday with Maelstrom which is super fitting because I am also a family-friendly Viking adventure.
Oh, and here's a picture of me chillin' in Eeyore's house (kindly ignore the gum in my mouth).
As usual, I was accompanied on this trip by my wonderful family: My mom, my dad, and my 20 year-old sister, Katie.
I am so thankful that, even though Katie and I are grown, we still take our annual family vacation to WDW. With everything going on in our lives, being able to spend time together as a foursome is so special. [Sidenote: If any of you have an unruly young adult in your traveling party who thinks family vacations are lame and for babies, I will gladly fill in. Just lemme know the dates. I am a sucker for a good family vacay, even if it's not with my own.]
I don't really want to give too much away trip details wise, but you can know that we spent 7 nights at Port Orleans French Quarter. It was our first stay at POFQ and we enjoyed it very much.
Here are a few POFQ teasers just to tide you over:
Well, that's all for the introduction, folks. As for an explanation of the title? For that, youll just have to stay tuned.
