Hi There :wave2:
Just thought I'd start a page incase, like me, you've been waiting for someone to start one! And wondering if there'll be anyone else on the boat!
I'm not even 100% sure we'll be able to make this trip, but here's hoping!:goodvibes
Sure looks quiet so far! Anyone?
Anita

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :cool1:

Have a great cruise!!

Hi

I have been waiting for someone to start the thread. I was starting to think we would have the ship to ourselves.

There will be 4 of us : Mom, Dad, DS (17) and DS(14).

We have decided to take this trip as it will be DS(17)'s last chance to go to Castaway Cay as a teen.

Thanks for starting the thread

Just noticed you are from NB. We live in Quebec but I grew up in Shediac and my boys spend their summers in NB.

Looks like Quebec and NB will have the same March Break this year

Hi there!
So glad we won't be alone!
We've actually booked the flights now so we're definitely going! :yay:
We're from the UK originally but w've been in NB for 10 years now. Lovely place to raise the family. Quiet though! Need to travel!
Glad to have you join us. :goodvibes

I've been waiting for someone to post. I'm on this cruise and then the next one. I'm running away from home for my birthday and will be on C.C on the next cruise for my bday. I warned him the first chance i found a CC day on my bday i would bookit and i did. He's still a little shocked.

Wow! 10 days! :cloud9:
And by the looks of things the ship might be quiet!
They'll probably have last minute florida rates or GTY rates for these miami cruises as they all seem to be selling slowly. I don't think we'll have the ship to ourselves unfortunately! :goodvibes

Yes it does look like a slow sell on the Miami cruises. Maybe it will be less crowded but not like our first disney cruise in 1999. This was our first cruise and Disney was still a new cruiseline and the Magic had less than 2000 onboard. They offered 1/2 price spa treatment and had plenty of last minute appointments. My DH took advantage of this. I'm waiting until the last moment to make my final payment just in case of a price drop. How many disney cruises is this for you? After this B2B one more and i'll be Platinum my DH just turned Gold with our last cruise. I liked tell everyone we have a mixed marriage so i have to make sure it stay that way. Hope we get more people to join us on this thread.

I like your definition of mixed marriage! :goodvibes

We too are waiting 'til the last minute incase of price drops or deals on higher categories. We've got a pretty good price so not complaining though. :goodvibes

This is only our second Disney cruise. We loved the Dream earlier this year but really wanted to experience the smaller classic ships. We have another cruise planned for 2014 but have managed to slip this one in between! Inconveniently :-)laughing:) my husband's brother decided to get engaged, to marry next Summer in Scotland, so we thought this trip wouldn't be possible. But we've managed to do it. We have a secret porthole room which has saved us lots of $$.

I'm sure once the end of the year comes and Disney starts sailing from Miami there'll be more interest. I think the flight prices to Miami may also be putting people off.

OMG There is a very good chance that me or my inlaws have been in the same stateroom your in. Many years back we did a cruise with them and took my niece and nephew to WDW. Any chance you're in one of the connecting SPR? Have you been to Barbs website that show the views from each room. Our room was pretty blocked but my inlaws room was only slightly blocked. I'm booked in one of the sideway inside cabins. I have also been on the Dream(new year cruise)and hope to book the Fantasy when onboard. Having tried both ship each have there pluses and miniuses. IMO pirates party,AP,and Palo brunch was better on Wonder/Magic. I will do my best to keep up now that there is a thread for our cruise but there might be times where i'll be missing as i'm real busy with my Kitchen reno and we are doing it ourself. Any questions you'd like to ask.

Melinda

We're not in a connecting SPH. Its the end one - I think it has the least amount of obstruction. I'd love to look at those pics of 'Barb's' you mentioned. Can you direct me to how to find her?
I too will not be here often. This is a surprise trip for the girls this time. I've disabled the automatic notification from here so nothing pops up in my mailbox for them to see! This means I may be a little slow responding. :goodvibes
I can't wait 'til later in the year when DCL starts sailing from POM to hear more about it!
Good luck with your reno. :)

edit : found Barb's pictures now! Thanks :-)

Are you booked in 5022 it to me has the best view of all the SPR rooms. If yes then you are in the room we let my inlaws have and it's a great room for the price. We gave the better view to them because they had never cruised in an outside cabin. We have a game called justify the cost when picking our stateroom cat. for all cruises we've done. I've been on Holland America,Princess,Royal Carribean and another line which will not be named(it was that bad but that another story/might have never cruised again if it had been my first). IMO i've never been able to justify the price jump to a balcony on DCL but did get one for free as an upgrade. Now with that said will not cruise Alaska without one. I know 9 days looks like a lot but me and my husband did the DCL PC cruise for 15 days. I always wanted to do B2B but not fond of Nassau and repeating ports(in same cruise)so that's the great part B2B but different port and double CC. How many cruises have you been on and which lines have you been on. Now for laughs. You know how they say it all started with a mouse well if my DH finds that mouse he's gonna shake him down for all the money it's cost him for turning his wife cruise crazy.:rotfl:

Hey everyone! We are on this sailing due to the fabulous Florida Resident Rates that were released today! We are so excited as this will be our 4th cruise on the 4th ship, so we will have done them all now :thumbsup2 It will me a "girls trip" consisting of myself, Heather (28), my mother (Nana), and my daughter Kaylee (5).

AHH! My sister and I just booked this cruise with the Florida resident discount, and I'm so freaking excited! It'll be my second cruise. The first one was on the Dream, and it was great. I can't wait!

My husband and I, DD (4), mother, and mom's boyfriend will be on this trip. We went on the Dream last month, and were excited to find another Florida resident deal that we could make use of (so many times the dates don't work out). We are seasoned cruisers, but this will only be our second Disney cruise. It will be interesting to see how the Wonder compares to the Dream.

Our little one will be 4 months old on March 1st.
We didn't want to let having a baby stop us from vacationing, so we chose Disney! It will be our first family-friendly vacation!
I have been searching for a group on FB and other places regarding this sailing!

Excited to be here!

I'll take any tips you have re: traveling with babies!

Wahoooo!
:cheer2:

Good on you for being so ambitious! We also didn't want to let having a child keep us from traveling, although I think at 2 months I wasn't even sleeping yet, so wasn't quite ready to plan a cruise (although we did go to Disney at 3 months for a work event). I guess I would say that the experience of cruising is definitely different once you have a child, particularly a baby. You can't do as much as you used to, pacing needs to be slower, and you travel with so much more stuff. I'd say pack way more diapers than you think you will need, make sure to bring cleaner for any equipment (bottles, pumps, etc.), as well as infant formulations of medications (Tylenol, etc.) and infant-friendly sunscreen. Hope it all goes smoothly for you.

Thanks!!! It didn't take too much to plan a cruise- just a few clicks and it was booked. I knew our first vacation with a kid wouldn't be riding camels in Egypt. I expected a slower pace and we booked a balcony room so I can lay outside while he naps. I don't expect excursions - and I escaped being stuck in a car with a million pit stops to change and burp or my greatest fear - being stuck on an airplane with a screaming baby. Cruises allow you to have your own little place to retreat to, to be social and to travel to different places!! I think I'll just bring a whole box of diapers.
Thanks for the advice!!
