BCV - non "road" view?

Hi all!

We are very excited to be staying at BCV for the first time this August. It is my understanding that there really aren't any "good" views at this resort, but I would very much like to avoid the "road" view if at all possible. Do any of the BCV pros out there have any suggestions that might help me in my room request? (We'll be requesting top floor, if that makes a difference. Had a bad experience one time with the disney guests upstairs!)

Of course I know there are no guarantees when it comes to room requests, but I always like to feel like I've at least made every effort, you know?

My next stop is to print out the building map, but I've yet to find a map that includes landscaping on it! :-) I have no idea which way is which.

Much obliged! :-)

Yes there are great views. We had a high level pool view room off the center to the left a bit. We could see the pool in the morning, the river and Wishes at night. We loved it.

Requesting a "Pool View" would work. Or you could simply ask for "a room that doesn't overlook the road".

The higher the floor, the more that you will see but that can be good and bad.

Here are some BCV views listed from lower floors to higher.

Pool - drainage canal - parking lot

Road, service area - trees - top of Epcot

Lawn area - trees - top of Epcot

Lawn area - porte-cochère - BC roof

I really should look this up for you...but if you are booking at BCV just tell them you do not want a room that looks at (I think it's called) Epoct International Blvd. I'd rather look at a courtyard, a pool or a sidewalk than to ever get another room overlooking that loud noisy road!

We had the road view in August. I mistakenly asked for an Epcot view as the last time we had a nice wooded view with Epcot directly behind. It was loud but we had a wonderful trip. Ask for pool view or woods view away from road.

Canal/pool - second floor (I love higher floors BUT 2nd floor balconies in this area are HUGE and some fourth have those dreaded hooded balconies)

If you get the top floor (5) as you requested you shouldn't have to worry about road noise, even on that side of the building. The 5th floor is much smaller than the other 4 floors, and therefore doesn't have as many rooms on the road side.

I'll be there in August also.

Some are pretty good, go with the "pool view" though-best chance of being OK IMO.

I usually request an Epcot view and only once have been bothered by the road noise. I think they were doing some kind of loading and unloading because I could hear the "beep, beep, beep". No one else even heard it in our room.

We were just there and I ask for high floor and got 540. (studio), faced the road technically, but couldn't really see it through the trees...if we sat on the balcony and turned to the very right we could see the high fireworks. There was a two bedroom at the 90 degree angle from us that faced the fireworks right on...would be 553, a 2 bedroom, dedicated two queens...

Before staying there I had heard that there were no good views at BCV and so was pleasantly surprised to get what I felt was a pretty view during our 1st stay:

This is a courtyard view, room 407. I liked it better than the woods view we had during our next stay, didn't take any pictures but there's a picture on this site:

There are more room views on the dvcnews.com site.

The courtyard view is really nice. I also like the woods view, but that's probably because I'm a birder and often see hawks, as well as I can see the top of the Eifel tower that way.

I know the OP originally started this thread awhile ago so you probably put in your request already. Sorry just saw this now.

I have to agree with those that said the pool view. We have found that to be the nicest. We had it once from the bottom floor, but enjoyed it even better from the fourth floor.

Have fun! :)

For those who have suggested pool view - did you not find the noise from the pool area to be disturbing?
