WELCOME!!!

My daughter and I are going on our first ever Mother/Daughter Trip and have decided to go back to Disneyworld, who would have every imagined? I hope she will join us in our PTR, but here is a picture of us from several years ago, we took it and sent it to a twins contest, we didn't win.

Thought I would put up a more resent picture of the 2 of us!

We both really enjoy our time in disney and planning. This year Kayla has started her own planning binder, she says she is a "Disney Planner in Training" She will be 21 next month and I am not ready for that. She is my one and only child and my best friend. We go to all kinds of concerts together and DISNEY!

We are very excited for this trip as we have never gone on vacation just the 2 of us, we are going to have so much fun. We will be leaving here on May 11, 2013 and returning on May 16, 2013. Originally we were going to do a split stay, but my hopes are there will be a discount like this years and we will be able to stay at the BC for all 5 nights

Well now that 2013 rates are out, we are looking at all the resorts. We were really looking forward to the BC, but we are now thinking we want to try a different resort.

What resort would you stay at for a Mother/Daughter Trip and why?

Cute photo. The BC is lovely. We did Animal Kingdom Lodge for our mother daughter trip - just because it was my sister's favourite. SSR might be good too because of the spa. Looking forward to hearing more.

What fun. Have you thought about AKL? It is one of my favorite resorts. It is so easy to get to all of the parks from there unlike when you stay at some of the other deluxe resorts. We did a split stay one trip with AKV and BLT. BLT was a pain to go any where except MK.

Thank you both, we are now thinking about AKL. Need to read a little more about it I think. I also thought about going to Vegas so who knows.

We did a few polls and decided to change our trip to October of 2013. We will be able to do the Halloween Party at MK, F&W at Epcot and get the holiday sandwich at Earl's. Made reservations a week ago, then this week got a code that is only good thru the end of September next year so we are thinking about moving out trip up a few weeks. We will miss 2 or our 3 items, but save LOTS of money. Now we have to decide again where we want to stay lol

Well today, I have made our 2nd Reservation change. At first we were going in October staying at POP room only reservation, then moved to September staying Poly CL Room Only Reservation due to daughters Pin Code. We just made the change to a package, staying at Poly CL, 3 day park tickets and the meal plan.

We have never done the meal plan before, it was never an option when there was 5 of us going, but now that it is just my daughter and I going, I think we deserve it and I think it will save us money.

I think I am happy with this plan.....for now. Now on to figuring out dining, we can make reservations on March 25, 2013, it is only 4 1/2 months away.:cool1: and 319 days until we will be there!

Yay for the meal plan at the Poly!! Sounds like it's shaping up to be an awesome trip! :thumbsup2

Sorry to be MIA for so long, the holiday's got the best of me. Soon as we get caught up from the holiday's my BF had surgery, we had found out last March 30 (10 years to the day my mom past away from cancer) that he had color/bladder cancer. He had surgery in April, they weren't able to do anything and was sent to Cleveland Clinic for exploritory surgery in May. Chemo finally started in August, with an infection set back, we restarted in September. Finally chemo was Monday before Thanksgiving. We had scans the Monday after, only to find a blod clot in his lung from his port. Finally on Janaury 24th we had surgery to remove the rest of the tumors, was in Cleveland Clinic for 7 days. We had the final surgery on February 28 to reverse his ostomy, was in the hospital 6 days. Throw in there moving him and his mom to his grandma's house (after we redid it) and he lives in Canton Ohio and I live in Cincinnati Ohio, I am SOOOOO ready for my Disney vacation with my daughter, he is taking a road trip with his hot rod and a few friends.

We have made several changes to our trip thru all of this. We are now staying at POP and staying 7 nights/8 days and added a park day on. We found out we can go to the first day for Food & Wine if we stayed one more night, so what the heck, we deserve it.

I was able to book our flights to and from, we leave here on 9/21 at 11 am, get in to Orlando at 1 pm and leave Orlando 9/28 at 4 pm and get in here at 6 pm. We are working on our dining plan (which I am sure will change between now and then), we can make reservations starting 3/25. I think it said we had 137 days until we could check in.

We have also decided we are going to start planning our December 2014 trip. We are so excited, we have always wanted to go during the holidays.

Today was our 180 day mark, reservations have been made. We have 50's Prime Time Cafe, Cape May Clambake, Donalds Safari Breakfast and Ohana Breakfast. What do you think?

I am getting excited, not only are we going in September 2013, but we are planning our trip for December 2014

Lots going on since my last post. I was able to get our Halloween tickets and free dining in May for our upcoming trip. My BF got the all clear that he is cancer free, yay, but the begining of this month found out my DD's tumor is back in her ear. She has surgery 7/31 to remove it and the doctors think she will be fine to travel for our trip in September.

We have a weekend trip this weekend to Marblehead and then it will be July 4th. I think the time should go by fast and before you know it, I will be in Disney for a week at my happy place.
