Parking when buying AP's

So let me explain my situation. I just bought annual passes online for Walt Disney World. I printed out the papers to take to the park. When I go to the park, can I show the vouchers as a way to park, or will I have to pay this time only?

Hi neighbor!

You'll have to pay to park, but when you go to Guest Relations they will refund the money. Or, if you are going to DTD before going to the parks for whatever reason, you can get the pass there and you won't have to pay for parking.

Is it guest services only that will refund it or will they do it at the ticket windows?

Once in a blue moon, they'll let someone through without paying, but generally - even if you have that paper - they'll make you pay to park.

When you pick up your AP, which you do at Guest Services and not the regular ticket window, they'll refund your parking money. You just have to fill out a little paper to get the refund. :)

If I were you, I'd get it activated at DTD. That way when you are ready to "hit the parks" you don't have any extra lines to wait in on your first day. Also you don't have to worry about paying to park there. I've done it this way twice myself.

For as big as small town Brandon is, there doesn't seem to be very many of us on here ... that's for sure.

If you're going to MK, for example, Guest relations is right to the right when you walk in. Obviously it would depend on what time/day you go, but we just activated my mom's past last week there. There wasn't a line and it took her less than 10 minutes, and she needed a birthday button.

If you forget to mention that you need your parking refunded, they won't ask. I completely forgot to mention it with mine. We exchanged my boyfriend's pass at Epcot, and were waiting in a longish line, when a CM had us go to a regular ticket window to do it. I've also done it during a previous year at DHS ... I don't necessarily think a separate trip to DTD is needed, personally, since you're already going to Guest Relations any ways ... plus, who wants to add more time to the trip, because I can never find parking at DTD.

I'd do the same. Head to Guest Relations at DTD and pick them up there.

You will pay to park. I did not ask for the refunded parking $, so I didn't get any refund. That obviously was my own fault.

Another vote for activating AP at Downtown. Lots of free parking, and a pleasant, indoor, well staffed guest relations desk.

Also at TTC, since that's where they'd be first headed if they drove to MK.

Just an update. I asked the cast member when I went to park if I had to pay and they didn't make me pay. I got my annual pass at the TTC at a normal ticket booth.

Very good.

A little "pixie dust" at the parking lot gate!
