Discovery Cove and Sea World in one day

Here's the plan. We will be staying at Disney in Nov. and taking the Mears bus to Discovery Cove. We plan on taking the shuttle across to Sea Word and spending a couple hours there. My question is will the shuttle be able to take us back across to Discovery Cove even if Discovery Cove is closed? We will need to catch the Mears bus back to Disney.

Thanks in advance.

Unless you are planning on going on the 23rd, 24th, 25th, or 30th, SeaWorld closes at 6 pm all other nights. Discovery Cove really is a full-day park (its awesome!! :thumbsup2), and you will probably find you won't want to leave until after 5 pm.

Spending so much time in the water is exhausting .... I am not sure I would want to spend a couple of hours at SeaWorld after a busy day at DC!! Maybe I'm just getting old :confused3 .

I must agree with Gina. We just returned from a Discovery Cove, Seaworld, Universal, Kennedy Space Center trip. You would not do DC or SW justice by trying to do them both in one day. As Gina said, DC is a full-day park especially if you are doing the dolphin swim and you will not know what time your swim time is until you get there. You might end up with a late afternoon swim which would give you no time at SW. In addition, the new Freshwater Oasis will be open by then at DC so that will add to the reasons to stay all day. Currently, when you reserve your day at DC, they include a free admission to SW and Aquatica. You have a two week time frame to use the free admission so it doesn't have to be done back to back.

Also, the attractions/shows at SW are at specific times and you need to be there all day in order to make the most of what they have to offer and fill in between the shows with the rides.

If you have to choose between the two, IMO, I would do DC without question. But my opinion and $1 might get you a cup of coffee somewhere! :lmao:

That's true. We probably will be very tired after swimming all day. But, would it be possible to take a shuttle to Sea World and take the shuttle back to Discovery Cove after it is closed to catch our Mears bus?
