8 days - 14 ADR's - No Dining Plan - PICS PICS PICS!!! *Completed with Links! Enjoy!*

Your DH must be a heck of a man for you to put up with that, wow! LOL I think that might drive me crazy after a while! :)

I was thinking the same thing! That would drive me up the wall after a while! But as you said, he must be a helluva hubby for her to put up with it. :thumbsup2

Oh believe me, it does drive me crazy! I get in spurts where I'll try everything for awhile and then I just give up because there is no way he will give in. He's been this way since he was 3 years old. His mom let him eat whatever he wanted and this is what happens when you do that. I blame my MIL 100% for the way he is today.

Hollywood Studios Day - We had an 8:00 ADR at Hollywood & Vine. One hour before park opening. I wasn't going to make this ADR but then Jake was added to the line up for characters and my DD is in LOVE with Jake so we just had to do it.

I ate here on the last trip with DS and we loved it. We were the first family of the day so that kinda helped the experience. Breakfast is a bit easier with DH since he will eat pancakes, scrambled eggs, waffles & certain cereals.

I had a plan set in stone for this morning... get there early, eat, meet characters then have DH & MIL take DD to do the TSM run for FP's while DS and myself ran to get signed up for Jedi Training. Thanks to the DHS's new "no rope drop", we totally missed the crowds and were way late when it came to "running" for anything.

Anyways, onto the breakfast! We were the 4th family to be let into the restaurant and were taken to a nice table with half booth/half chairs. We loaded our plates and began to enjoy the awesome breakfast made by Disney.

DS loves the fact that they have yogurt on their buffet.

My plate (I really love Disney bacon and I thought the burrito idea was fantastic!):

Not sure why I didn't get a pic of MIL's plate but you can imagine, it was pretty much the same as ours. I went back to the buffet later on and grabbed another plate. I like to take a piece of fruit from the buffets and stick it in my purse. It makes for a good snack later on. I always do this. lol...

Then the characters... they did their dancing...

And of course, they save the best for last... Jake:

DD had to kiss him... awww...

And that's it. It was a great breakfast... a bit pricey IMO since the characters don't even talk but there is plenty to choose from for food. I would love to try a different meal here next time but you just can't beat eating before the park opens :)

I am loving these reviews! We already have all of our ADRs scheduled for September but I think I will find some room for T-Rex somewhere. I even want to try Hollywood and Vine, but that will have to wait until next time. I cannot wait to try O'hana. The dessert party also looks awesome but another one that I cannot fit in and will have to wait until a next time too. I know it must be worrisome wondering about what your mil is going to say, but it gives you funny stories to tell. I am looking forward to reading more reviews.:goodvibes

I'm really enjoying your report. I really like these orange t shirts in your last update, did you make them? If so, is that the bleach method I've read about? I would love to make some for my family for our night at MVMCP.

I gotta tell ya, your kids are just too darn cute!! :goodvibes

Yes, I made all of the matching shirts myself. I cut out Mickey heads & our names from cardstock and laid them on the shirts (I put a towel inside the shirt so the bleach wouldn't leak through to the other side) and I put bleach in a spray bottle and sprayed lightly right over the cardstock. I had issues with 2 of the shirts and the bleach leaking through the cardstock so I remade those but the second time, they turned out great. I'm actually wearing mine today.. lol..

Our next ADR was for lunch at 50's Prime Time at 2:30. I think we got there around 2pm. DH opted out of this meal. He knew they would pick on him for his eating habits and he simply cannot take criticism even if they are joking. DD was not feeling well and had fallen asleep in the stroller so we opted to leave her with DH. So off we went... myself, MIL & DS. DS & I had been here on our last trip and we had a fabulous time. We LOVED the food & couldn't wait to return. I thought for sure this would be one that MIL would love.

We checked in and took a seat on one of those awesome couches in the Tune In Lounge.

We waited for about 5 minutes and someone called the "Buda Kids"... we were seated in the back of the restaurant at a table with a booth & chairs.

I always wanted one of these tables:

Oh well, maybe next time. We went ahead and ordered and got the food fairly quickly. I ordered my 'usual", a Sampling of Mom's Favorite Recipes which comes with meatloaf, pot roast, fried chicken, some veggies & mashed potatoes... all on collared greens of course. It was really good (again) but it seemed to be so much smaller this time. I had no problem finishing every last bite and I know last time I had issues even eating half of it. I also ordered a strawberry milkshake. I just LOVE their shakes!

MIL got Aunt Annie's Seafood Salad. She said it was really good and the perfect portion for her at that time. Of course, she could not STAND the outfits everyone was wearing in this restaurant either! Ugh...

DS ordered the hot dog which came with fries. He loved it.

We were about halfway done with our meal and DH texted me to say that DD had a bit of a fever and just got a bloody nose. I should not have told MIL because on the freakout-o-meter, she hit a 98 almost immediately. Again, this was MY daughter and I was not worried. MIL immediately told our waitress which of course stopped ALL of the shenanigans she would've maybe had us go through and completely ruined the experience for us. :confused3 We had to hurry up and finish up so we could go meet up with DH. DH obviously wasn't all that worried because at the time he was in Pizza Planet which is pretty much across the park. We had to wait for him for about 20 minutes before he caught up to us in front of the big hat.

We proceeded to take DD to the first aid station to get her temp taken. Her bloody nose had stopped. It was barely anything. DD was in a good mood, just a bit warm. Her temp ended up being 99.3 and MIL felt much better then.

I don't want to sound like I wasn't worried about DD but honestly, she was not showing any other signs of illness. She was still happy, still smiling and still wanted to go do stuff. MIL was overreacting like I had never seen anyone do. It was embarrassing to say the least.

50's Prime Time was good again but I think I'll skip it next time. Time to try something new. Although I'm sure someday we'll return :)

Great pics! Everything looks so good, except that salad at Ohanas, what is the deal with that? I would be very disappointed if I were served that salad in a restaurant. Even the bagged salad at my supermarket look better than that!

Looking forward to the remainder of the reviews, keep up the good work!

So here we are on day #5 already! Time sure flies when you're in WDW :( We left early this morning to get to Animal Kingdom for our ADR at Tusker House. This was our first time going here and I was really excited for it. Our reservation was for 8:05am and we were let into the park at about 7:45am. It is such a peaceful walk without fighting crowds of people! We arrived at Tusker House and got into line to meet Donald.

We were lined up right behind another family that had green shirts on so of course, the CM's started joking with us... our waitress started kidding with us that she was going to seat us right next to the other green family.

Little did we know, she wasn't kidding! This wasn't the last we saw of the green family either. We ran into them constantly that day. lol... we were seated and brought some of that yummy juice.

I love that stuff! MIL liked it too. DH actually took a sip... but hated it. So I drank his. :confused3 We took a trip to the buffet and loaded up. I can't remember who's plates were who's but you could probably take a guess by now. I didn't even bother to take a picture of DH's because it was a repeat from yesterday.

Everything was great. Our service was excellent and the characters were fantastic! The kids got to participate in the parade with Daisy as well.

I would return here for sure. The meal was great and we were outside waiting at the rope to run to Safari for a FP with time to spare. A word of warning... if you ever do this, do not look back. When I turned around and saw the massive crowd of people heading towards us, I panicked a bit. That is a scary sight! But we were off to a good start...

Hey, I see the 'other' green shirt family in your pics ;)

Your matching shirts are all great. My DH would never, ever go for that though.

Tusker House brekkie looks lovely.

I should not have told MIL because on the freakout-o-meter, she hit a 98 almost immediately.

My DS ended up in the ER on our last trip. I think the only thing that would have made that worse at that moment is if my MIL was there!!:rotfl2:

lol.. DH was not thrilled in the beginning with the idea but we got sooo many compliments on the shirts from CM's and other guests. It also made it really easy to look for anyone in our group... we didn't have to think too hard about what they were wearing that day.

Oh no! That would be so scary :( My MIL is a bit of an over-reactor... then there are things that she is such a pushover on :confused3 I just don't get it.

This dining review is awesome! I've really enjoyed reading through it and can't wait to read more.

Your children are both just darling, the shirts you made are terrific (wish I was talented enough to do that!), your DH's eating habits are very bizarre and interesting, and the fact that you took your MIL along with you means you like YOUR MIL a WHOLE lot more than I like mine!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::sick:

Looking forward to following along.:)

Yummy! Tusker House is one of our favorites. We've done both breakfast and dinner. We've got dinner booked for October. I love the feel of the restaurant. You really feel like you're in an open marketplace.

:surfweb: Subbing

I'm really enjoying your dining trip report & I loved how you set it up with the single page links :thumbsup2!. Sooo helpful when trying to decide where to try a new meal.

Your littles are adorable. Can't wait for the rest of your installations!
