new blog: Getting the Royal Treatment at Port Orleans Riverside

By far POR Riverside is my favorite resort ... For all categories. The rooms are well appointed, the theming of the grounds just makes you feel like your somewhere in the deep south, the dining court is better than many of the resorts and Yehaa Bob offers a great way to round out the end of the day. I also like being close to DTD and taking the ferry there and not having to park several parking areas from where I wish to be.

Great review! So helpful. The rooms look so cute.

It was especially helpful that you mentioned that the Royal rooms were fairly close to the main room. If my family ends up staying at a moderate resort again next visit, I was considering the Royal themed rooms. We are bringing my in-laws and my MIL has a bad knee. I had noticed that the royal rooms were about the same price as a preferred room and looked fairly close on the resort map. (Last time we went with just ourselves and the kids, and we had a looooong walk to the main building from our Aligator bayou rooms.)

Port Orleans Riverside is where we stayed on our first (so far only but that will change one of these days) trip to WDW. We loved it. Loved having the option of taking the boat or bus for transportation. The room we stayed in was nice, these seem amazing. Was planing on staying a a different resort each trip but may have a change of heart. Great blog post.

I've been trying so hard to have my nephew have this room for when he, my sister, and I go in October. That's a no-go though. He doesn't want to be surrounded by princesses. But I love the room!
