My back went out.
We do everything we can not to hurt our backs and it is the little things. I was helping my dh put our room air conditioner in our Bedroom. I opened the window and like you, I woke up that nite and couldn't get out of bed. Thank goodness for stashed Vikes.

one time Nebo was going to pu tpeat moss in trenches for our new hedges. he was afraid of putting his back out if he hefted the huge bags. so.. he "carefully" tested lifting just the end of one bag.... oops! that did it!!!!

I have to admit that I was a little concerned about you not taking too many Vikes down to the World. If you are in pain how can you enjoy it! Kind of the way I felt about an epidural during delivery.

Hope this injury magically heals on the plane ride down and you are pain free and smidgy is grump free for the trip.

You and Steve are such a delight to read on the boards. I can't believe you flew down, half of your adventures stem from your road trips, but it sounds like the flight is going to be an adventure too. Looking forward to the next posting.

So, of course all my shows are off until the fall... I just finished all the seasons of Downton Abbey- my NEW FAVORITE SHOW- so I'm ready for that to start up again in like November... and just finished my latest book.

Yeah Nebo, welcome to my world, getting schooled by a four year old. I know you have already experienced it with your boys, and now the fun continues with your grandchildren. The glowing teeth and eyeballs are actually funny and kinda neat and they change the whole perspective of the ride. DD is really creative. She thought it was such fun and of course, we had to give big reactions.

The really funny part was that on the last Winnie the Pooh ride of the trip, we had a couple right behind us in the honey pot and they realized what DD was doing. They cracked up and were helping get a reaction out of her! It was a cool/funny Disney moment!

Thanks for that Double D, I really look forward to being with kids again.

Oh boy!!! A Nebo and smidgy trip report that I am coming in at the beginning . I usually start on page 593 and have to try and catch up, then by the time I have caught up it is all over .

We also have a six in the morning flight from O-hare to Orlando,,,,yes, that is not a typo, that was the best rate I could find,,, this means that the taxi has to be at our door by 3: 30 in the morning, becauset this is the time Smidgy says he should be there.

Then I threw my back out packing.

And just last night, I go to take the garbage out. I lean over to grab a bag... I didn't even get there yet!! And, well, you know.

It was late Friday night, I had been slowly, kinda packing all day and when I went to bed, I forgot the suitcase was still sitting on the bed, and without thinking I just kind of grabbed it and flung it to the floor.

Suitcase had a bottle of whiskey, bottle of vodka, Sunny D's,, it was much heavier on the inside than it looked on the outside.
Got that little "twinge" way down by the belt, didn't think too much about it,,,,

Oh, that twinge. You feel it and you think, "Oh, it's okay. Just a twinge. I'm fine. Really. If I ignore it, it'll be okay."

until I got up to go take a leak 3 hours later!

I can't believe it! So many times when I try to do the right thing, it blows up in my face.

But now I'm scared to death to go through security.

Smidgy, I really like watching Grimm as well! I thought the first few episodes were a little slow, but there are some great characters on the show. Monroe is great and I like Sargeant Wu as well. What do you think Adalind has given Juliet? And Nick's mom is alive? Wow!!
