Chapter 41: The Beach Club's Gingerbread Carousel!
December 22nd, 2011

I love you, Beach Club!

EEEEEEEE It was time to go inside!

Not only is the location, theme, and decor of this resort perfect, but you enter the doors and you're just hit with this UNBELIEVABLE smell. Gahhh I'm in love.

The trees in here are decorated so wonderfully. I LOVE the beach theme!

Once we got inside we saw THE GINGERBREAD CAROUSEL. Oh my gosh, it was so pretty!

And yes, I took a picture of each of the horses. I want to say that they're made out of chocolate. Correct me if I'm wrong.

This one is named Wonderland. I love the little castle decal on it's saddle.

This horse is named Pepper, which is my dog's name!! So I loved him.

This is Holly, and I love how she's decorated. The detailing is just superb.

This here is Captain. He is very patriotic. How fitting!

And this last one is named Ariel. JUST MELT MY HEART.

This gingerbread house, that is near the carousel, has Snow White on it. How adorable!

This little stand has the recipe for this giant gingerbread structure!

I love this little guy.

Christmas Tip 20: Make sure you check out the Gingerbread Carousel at the Beach Club! You're not going to want to miss it - it's so beautiful!

Here's the carpet in the hallway. HOW ADORABLE IS THAT?!! Seriously. I was dying.

I also took a picture of the resort rug! Such a fantastic logo.

I loved your update! I'm trying to decide between the Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk for my trip in August so your pictures were so appropriate!! I think I'm leaning towards Beach Club now, but I've always wanted to stay at the Boardwalk. Ahhhh I just can't decide lol

Another great installment of your trip report. My family are making our first trip (as a family, wife and I went back in 1998) next month and we are staying at the Yacht Club. I can see that it (and the Beach club) are awesome during Christmas. I don't know that I will ever be at WDW during Christmas time so it's very nice to see your pictures. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing your new trip report when you decide to start that. It seems like you will be doing trip reports for the next decade or so! I for one am looking forward to them just continuing from here on out....

I'm really hoping a good discount will come out for when we head over for Food & Wine. Right now we're booked at the Swan, but I'd *love* to stay at the Yacht or Beach Club!

AHHHH thank you so SO much for these two updates...they have made me a thousand times more excited to stay at the Beach Club in July. I was already excited, but your pictures...wow! Just wow! This will only be the second deluxe resort I've ever stayed at so I won't have much to compare it to, but I can already tell I am going to LOVE it!

At least you'd still be in the Epcot resort area, but I would totally be thinking the same way as you. The Yacht and Beach Club both just seem so much more "Disneyish."

I'm 95% sure I'm going! I think we'll end up staying club level at Beach Club, but my Uncle is the one funding the trip so it's really up to him

What great timing, for me, that you have this update! I made an ADR at Cape May for a 10:30 breakfast for our Nov trip and I have no clue on how to get there. I assumed to to DHS, but from there.......

I know you'll be nice enough to enlighten me



Anyway... I totally agree, the Beach Club is stunning! I hope they have some Christmas stuff going while we are there!

Yay for the updates! Oh my gosh all those decorations at the Beach Club are GORGEOUS! Especially that carousel, you're right people really should go see it during the holidays, it's just fantastic! I love the Ariel horse, so precious.

I literally stopped and stared at the picture of the trash can you took. But seriously, it is truly the most beautiful trash can ever...BECAUSE ITS IN DISNEY. And they can make a masterpiece out of ANYTHING. It's my dream to stay there too. Heck, I would love to stay in every single Disney resort. But the Beach Club is waaaaayyyy up on the list of super-want-to-do.

Can't wait for more!! I'm both so glad and so sad you've returned. Yay for more tr-ing, boo for not being in the happiest place on earth.

Wonderful update, oh my God I love the Beach Club so much. I've never stayed there either but we always visit. It's such a serene place. I remember when I first went there I was so impressed with the entire Epcot Resort area. The fact that it could exist in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the parks. Disney is just perfection.

Ahh, I totally remember that smell. Your post really takes me back to December. I miss it so much!

I have a very (un)healthy obsession with the Beach Club. I must say that lately it has been taking a back seat to Bay Lake Tower, but seeing these beautiful photos definitely made me swoon. (As much as you can swoon over photos of a resort!) It's also so nice to see the decorations during the day because we visited at night!

Loved your updates! We just booked a couple weeks ago a trip for Dec 15-18 and are staying at Beach Club villas. That is our home resort and contemplated changing to VWL but after your updates I am sticking with our first choice. So thanks!

Oh my goodness! The Beach Club is one of my DREAM resorts, too! Jake & I walked around there on our Christmas trip in 2009 and all of the decorations were just like your pictures.... breathtaking for sure!

What other trips do you have planned? Maybe you can stay at the Beach Club next year! It's on my list for 2013 for sure! I think it'd be perfect for the kids with Stormalong Bay AND being so close to Epcot!

Welcome, welcome, welcome back. Nice to see you reporting again, you have been missed this past week.

Since my Family and I will be in the WORLD from 12/24 through 1/2 of this year your trip report has given us many new and exciting things to experience. We can not wait to hit the Beach Club up to check everything out during Christmas time.
