AAA Disneyland Tickets

Hi All - I read on an older thread that if I book tickets through AAA (not a vacation package) that they come with tickets to TTMM and preferred seating for Aladdin. When I called them, though, they say that this is not the case. Does anyone have any experience with getting these extras via AAA?

Oh... I can't remember what exactly they were called, but it was some type of AAA Passport Plus or something like that... not a regular ticket. Someone who knows the exact name will probably come along.

They were promotional tickets they sold last year I believe, called the Passport Plus tickets. I'm not sure if all AAAs had them or only west coast ones.

We had AAA tickets in April 2010 (we upgraded to APs), we did not get the preferred seating. I'm just about ready to buy our tickets for our July trip but I haven't looked to see if the preferred seating will be available.

Last year we were able to purchase Passport Plus tickets via AAA in California 3 day park hoppers that did include MM and TTMM as well as the Preferred seating included as well. I do recall they expired at year's end so it is very possible this year's offerings are different. Hope this helps.

We bought and used these tickets at the end of April. You just have to go into the AAA office. They have to order them from Disney and then you pick them up at the office. We bought 3 day park hoppers and it came with a magical extras booklet that had the preferred seating, lanyard, and discount card. DH and I also upgraded these to Deluxe AP's.

DMIL actually bought all 6 of our tix, so we only had to pay the $13 service fee once.

This is great info!! How early did you have to order them? Our AAA office isn't in our city so it would be helpful to know how early I need to get them ordered. :)

Last year it took about 3 weeks for AAA to receive them for us to pick them up. You can also pay more to have the tickets rushed, but it's not worth it. I'd say 3-4 weeks out and you will be safe, but they can give you a quoted have them by time when you stop by and visit.

Thanks, everyone for your help. I called back and got someone to call Disney and now it appears that I can order it. Just to give you an idea on cost, it will be $837 for two adult and two child 3 day park Hopper. I think this includes shipping. That is about $45 more than I would pay with my work discount, but the free parking and all the extras make it worth it for me.

One last update. I went to the AAA office in person today because I was nervous about getting this booked before the ticket price increase. I was able to get the agent to confirm that it comes with TTMM, preferred seating for several shows (including Aladdin), free parking, and the Diamond AAA card. For an extra $10 I could have also gotten the souvenir lanyard and pin but we don't really collect these things.

Also (and I found this surprising) I can cancel up to 31 days before my trip and get a refund!!! This seems like a great option for anyone looking to lock in the current price. But hurry because I think today is the last day before the ticket price increase.

from the June Westways:

"Auto Club branches now sell discounted Disneyland Resort theme park tickets. Options range from one-day Park Hopper tickets to Annual Passports, and select multiday tickets include free theme-park parking, a $15 value per day. Contact your local Auto Club branch for more information."

Just FYI--I called now our AAA, and the office closes on Saturdays at 1 p.m.
So, at least for us, as it is past 1 here, AAA is not an option before the price increase to get tickets from them.

You can get them online from AAA but it only says free parking. Our offices weren't open at all today so the girl I've been working with couldn't help me. Online you can only get up to 5 days. The girl in store said I would get all the perks if I got the tickets from her. Now I'm not sure what to do? Order 6 day from DIsney or get 5 day from AAA and hope to still get the other perks??

The guy from the 800 number said he hadn't heard of a price increase so he wasn't sure if it would affect them or not.

At least for our AAA, the online tickets were different.
