Summer schedule

Trying to look into our food reservations for July 27th-Aug 4th. Can anyone give me incite as to what the summer schedule might look like? When would they usually do fireworks, Fantasmic, WOC etc... Wish the calendar would be up before 60 days out. Thanks for all your advice!!!

As for entertainment the best indicator is what happened in hte past.

The big difference this summer will be the expansion of park hours at DCA to 8AM-11PM.

WoC hasn't changed, but the times for Aladdin & Disney Junior were adjusted a bit.

Most days DL is open 8am-12am, DC 8am-11pm

Here are the major events:
Mickey's Soundsational Parade
4:00pm, 6:30pm

Magical
9:30pm

Fantasmic!
9:00pm, 10:30pm (the second show moves to 10:15 when DL closes at 11pm)

Magic Memories and You
8:45pm, 10:15pm

Pixar Play Parade
2:00pm, 5:00pm

World of Color
9:00pm, 10:15pm

Mad T Party starts at 7pm

If anything they may add a 3rd show if crowds warrant it. They did that a lot the first summer it showed.

My daughter, who's a CM who often works WOC, told me that this summer when DCA opens until 11, they may have an additional WOC show at 11 and adjust the two other times. It hasn't been confirmed though. Just keep watching the calendar. If the crowds are really big, they often add a show.

They're usually one of the last things that gets added. Typically they perform Thursday through Monday.

OP, honestly the summer hours and schedule of shows stay reletively the same all summer! DL will stay open from 8-12 daily from beginning of summer until Labor Day roughly. DCA will stay from 8-11 as well. The shows that scheduled now in June will more than likely have the exact same schedule all summer as well. In fact Fantasmic, Fireworks and WOC schedule is basically the same all year! They move the fireworks up in the winter time when it gets darker quicker, but from Spring on they show them at 9:30 the rest of the year.

UNLESS there is some special event happening on a certain day the schedule wont change much at all between June and August. The dates you are going will more than likely be the exact same schedule you can view now in late June. Again, there may be SOME changes, but its highly unlikely and it may only be minor at best! So just look at the calendar with the day thats the farthest along and that should answer all your questions for your trip! And the calendar isnt complete yet though. Other things will be added in the coming weeks for smaller shows.

Yep, that is the plan and been that way for several months now! If DCA is really slammed this summer expect to see a third WOC show!

It may not always be on the calendar because it will be determined on the day but it will be announced in the park if it happens.

Actually, chances are that this will be decided on a night by night basis and the additional time would simply be at 11:15. The problem with doing this though is that it would make the trams a lot busier at Midnight, so if they do this, I would expect that Disneyland's hours would be extended to 1 A.M. on those nights to help combat that.

To be honest I dont that will happen! And there are already plans for DCA to go to midnight as well if that be the case! If that happens, a third WOC show will most likely be added. But no plans for DL to go to 1 a.m. at the same time. I think there will be more trams added basically but thats it.

Yeah true about the trams! They are a bottle neck! But the parks have closed at the same time before and actually they will be BOTH planning on closing on June 19th at 11 p.m, just 4 days after the relaunch. I dont know why, but its there. So obviously there will be days they will both close at the same time! I'm guessing that will be rare and yes if DCA stays open to midnight as DL does, then thats already a signal the park is ridiculously packed and its going to be a crazy madhouse for the trams those days. Yeah, not fun lol. Its ALSO why I park at the Toy Story parking lot anyway! I'm glad most people havent caught on this parking lot is waaaay more convient than Mickey and Friends and you rarely have to wait more than 5 mins before you can board a bus regardless how busy the night is!

But we'll see! Like you, I dont think it will be crazy busy after the first two months anyway. By august, it will obviously be busy not like the madhouse I see the first few weeks of opening.

But if DL stays open til 1, none of us will be complaining!
