Peter Pan and Nemo ride question

I keep reading how Peter Pan needs to be done first thing a.m., or lines are an hour. What about riding PP during a parade, fantasmic, or later at night?

Same question with Nemo, but also when you look out the sub on Nemo are you looking into the water or at a computer screen? Just wondered, as if you rode it at night if it would be dark if looking at the real water.

for personal reasons, I've never rode Nemo. So I can't be of any help there.

If you don't hit Peter Pan right in the morning, you'll be waiting an hour (at least, especially if busy) no matter what else is going on. It's totally worth it as well

Regarding Nemo, I like to ride it at night if you really want short lines. Yes, you COULD ride it early, but it's such a time suck (almost a 20 minute ride and a very slow loader) that I'd rather spend those lightly crowded morning hours doing something more rewarding.

MOST of Nemo is looking at digital projections on screens. It's only the first few minutes that you're actually looking out the window into the water, and while it obviously looks different at night than it does during a sunny day, they do have lights on underwater at night. After those few minutes, the ride is exactly identical whether you're on it at night or during the day.

Most of the time when I pass by Peter Pan it is 45 minutes. This is usually within 20 - 30 minutes of the park opening (not counting Magic Morning days) and stays that way all day until Park closing. If you have more than one day you can to the Fantasyland blitz on one morning. When the park opens be near the front and go directly to Peter Pan, then do Mr. Toad, Alice in Wonderland, The Matterhorn and Nemo. You can get it all done in less than an hour. The Nemo line varies a bit during the day and the line can go down in the later evening. The first part in the lagoon is not as pretty at night though.

Even during parades and nighttime, Peter Pan's line is usually around 40 min. It's either the first 5 minutes that the park is open or you will be waiting.

Another time that I like to ride PP is immediately after the fireworks. They close off the main area of FL for the fireworks. Then, when they reopen that area, there's a shorter line. In order to take advantage of this trick, though, you must watch the fireworks from back by Mad Tea Party/Storybookland. When the last bang hits, a line begins to form by the Mad Hatter gift shop. You still have to wait for them to clear the FL area and make sure everything is safe, but once that happens, you are led right through the line.

Nemo's line does fluctuate more with parades and shows. Also Nemo's line does shorten in the evening.

Nemo seems very different to us at night. It's very dark when the submarine first sets out because there is no light coming through the windows. If you have young children, they are significanlty more likely to get totally freaked out at night for that reason. If you're an adult and generally prefer night to day, you'll probably like it better at night. Obviously it's pretty much the same after you enter the cave, but I still like it at night.

In Nemo you're looking at actual water AND projected images. That's what's supposed to make it cool. It's like the animated characters are ACTUALLY swimming in the real water, with real rocks and everything. It is cool, but it's still little better than watching a movie. For us, it's an ultimately disappointing ride because we don't want to watch tv.

Like a prev poster said, if you are willing to watch fireworks from behind the castle, you can get a great spot in line for Peter Pan. Watching from there is kind of neat...you get a really up close look at Tink, but definitely miss some other effects. Just ask one of the CMs standing at the ropes (blocking off access to the castle area) where the line for Peter Pan is forming. Otherwise, regardless of crowd level, that ride stays at a 30-45 minute wait until closing, so my opinion is just jump in whenever you feel like it and know that's how long it will take. Nemo lines are definitely shorter at night. I've only ridden at night, so don't know the difference in effects. My expectations of the ride were very low based on what I'd read here, but my family LOVED it!

We've gotten on Peter Pan within 5 minutes multiple times about half an hour before the park closes (whatever time that is). Our last two trips we got there around 11:45pm (park closed at midnight) and got on with no line. The very last time they were literally sweeping the line behind us.

Peter Pan closes during the Winter Fireworks (Remember Dreams Come True( and the Fourth of July Fireworks, so immediately following those fireworks shows, you can get right on, if you are watching the fireworks from near the Tea Cups.

This does not apply to the Summer Fireworks (Magical), Halloween Fireworks, Christmas Fireworks or New Year's Eve Fireworks.
