Hi guys,
Thanks to a link posted here this morning, I just bought our AP preview of Carsland/Buena Vista Street plus a private screening of WOC. Anyone else going to this? We are flying in the morning of June 10th, and the preview for us is that night 6pm-11pm. I am wondering how they are going to do the private WOC show? Where do you think we will see it from? So far we have only seen it from the blue section and have always had a *meh* view. Hoping for a better chance at seeing things this time!

Here is the link to the preview:

I wish! The DH will not allow me to fly down for one day of that when we will be going as a family just a few weeks later :P

No not me! I have an AP and live very close but, and I know I'm in the minority, I never been into the early sneak peaks or special events like the F! thing that happened. I dont know why but I always like just doing everything as just 'one of the guest'. So I never sign up! LOL, take that back, no I did sign up last year for an early ride on ST 2 because I was SO excited for it, but didnt go because it was so freakin early and I actually won lol. But thats been it for me.

BUT I have to stress I dont sign up only because I know I'm going to be there regardless, like June 15th there! If it was a once in a lifetime shot to do something, that would be different.

But yeah if I WERE to do it, I would want to do it around your time! Because you get to do the night stuff and see the CL neon + WOC! And what BVS will look like at night as well, which I'm guessing will be cool too! Its a bit more $, but it does sound worth it! Have fun and take LOTS of pics! That final days before the official opening looks like it will be lots of reviews from people like you so I will be glued to my computer on those days!

I also bought the AP preview tickets to CL/BVS on June 10th that Sunday night. I am also very curious of how they are going to do a private WoC show.

Bret, if I see you there (I think I would recognize you because I have seen you in your trip report pics :)) I will be sure to say hello. I am going with my 2 daughters (15 and 11).

fctiger, this is the first AP event we have been to. It was just sort of fate that the date was June 10th--because that is our first day there. I figured we would just miss Carsland this time, because our trip is scheduled for 6/10-6/14. I did enter the AP contest, but when I saw this oppertunity, I figured I should just jump on it. I am not sure if we will be renewing our annual passes--so I just want to make the most of it.

Mrs. Pinup-it sounds like you will be there at a great time to see all of it anyway! I hope you have a great trip with your family.:goodvibes

Sounds like Disney Fate to me! Sounds like you and your girls are going to have an awesome time. I, unfortunately can't get there until the June 13th. Looking forward to hearing how the event goes :flower3:

Oh sure of course! I cant remotely think why anyone wouldnt want to do it even if they can go later because I imagine crowd wise alone it will be more managable and you can see it before everyone else! I think just for me, I do like doing that stuff with the regular crowds because its fun to be part of the crazy spectacle! That said, I guess I can always do both lol. And if someone slips me a free ticket I dont think I would turn that down!

I DO have a question though. When is the WOC viewing? Is it 11ish or before? I'm just wondering do you know if you will have a choice to stay in CL if you dont want to do WOC or are you just pushed out at a certain time and then see the show? I'm asking because my friend is thinking about tryin to get a ticket and thought being the Disney geek I know everything lol. But I dont expect people to know right away.

Oh also STRANGE request, but for people who are doing the 6-11 shift and you are in CL when the DL fireworks goes off, can someone report back to me here and let me know if you can actually see the fireworks from CL? Its this weird obsession I have with trying to find as many cool places to watch the fireworks from DCA! PP is still the best and BVS will be good of course BUT kind of a hassle if the RCT is running at that hour. And curious about the views from CL! Would love to find a new area to watch them in that park! Anyone just keep an eye out for or me! :)

Unfortunately I don't have any info on the WOC aspect of it. Hopefully someone here will soon! The tickets for the 6-11 slot that I purchased do include WOC--and that is why they were 75.00 rather than 50.00. It says "private WOC" showing--so what that means about where they will put us is a mystery to me. I would imagine most people who bought these tickets will not waste the WOC portion of them--just because we paid extra for it! So I can't imagine someone staying in the CL area and missing WOC, but I may be missing something!

Ok, no worries! My friend is on the fence about it, but hes more interested in CL then seeing WOC which he's seen about 20 times already.

And trust me, I think many would pick staying inside CL longer instead of seeing WOC IF they seen a bunch of times already! CL will be the star regardless, so I think if there is an option to do WOC or stay in CL longer, I think a lot would stay in longer. My own friend want to do just that for example!

BUT, I have a sneaking feeling they will introduce the Brave sequence in that showing as well, so there will be quite a few people who will want to see it for that alone!

And if the WOC is 11 pm, an hour after the park officially closed then yeah it means you guys will have it all to yourselves which is cool! Of course I dont know how many tickets are being sold, it could be thousands, but still pretty cool! :)

It will be nice to see you there during the sneak peek. I will be wearing my WDW blue backpack with my LGMH on the bag. Hope you and your daughters have a great time during the sneak peek.

I have a feeling that the people who got tickets for the evening preview of CL/BVS are going to see WoC at 11pm. I just can't see us going to the first show or 2nd show of WoC. It will be neat after we finish up CL/BVS at 11pm and watch WoC later that night. But we will have to wait and see what will happens.

It makes sense that it would be at 11:00--but I hope not! That is the day we are flying in, and I don't know if we can last that long. We will do our best, though. I am sure it will be a fun night!

I will be looking for your WDW blue backpack and LGMH! :goodvibes

For anyone who is interested, I just called the AP information line and asked what time the private WOC show is scheduled for. The CM put me on hold for about 10 minutes, and then came back and apologized because she said that they were trying to find out this information. She said as of today there is no official start time for WOC--but to call back later this week. She said that she spoke to her manager and they made some calls while I was on hold, but there is only preliminary information--and nothing has been figured out for sure yet.

I will update this thread if and when I get more information. If anyone else knows something, please chime in!
