Which nights would be better for each "nighttime entertainment"?

We will be in the parks on the evenings of June 19-21. We want to see the fireworks and TMTMAY on the same night, we want to do the Fantasmic dessert package, and we want to get a FP for World of Color. Which nights would be better for each night time thing? I need to figure this out so that I can make my Fantasmic package reservations soon!

I can't offer any voice of experience, but we will be there the same time (June 20-22 for us), and I had to figure out the same issues.

Our priorities are to see F! and WOC - fireworks and MM&Y would be great, too! I posted a couple questions and got some advice in the past week.

Here is our plan:

- We arrive at LAX from Ohio at about 11:00 am on June 20. We plan to do the F! dessert package for the first show that night. In fact, I called Disney Vacation Planning today to have them make the reservation for me, since I will be working and probably unable to call at 11:00 EDT this coming Sunday. My thinking is that coming from the midwest, we will be too tired to wait for the second show, that night especially! By the way, we have a room-only reservation at GCH (we are using Military Salute park tickets), so I wasn't sure DVP would help us out, but thanks to the advice on this board I learned they are happy to help!

We will stay in our F! seats for the fireworks at 9:30. From what I understand, it's not a great view, or at least not nearly as good as nearer the hub, but it will do just fine since F! is our priority. We then will work our way as close as we can to see the 10:15 MM&Y. One poster told me it's worth a try, but to take the path through Frontierland, NOT the hub, which will be clogged.

- We have Carthay Circle Restaurant lunch reservations on Thursday, June 21, to get passes for the first WOC show that night. We will still get there early, but it will be nice to have passes to the preferred area.

As far as which night is "best" for each show, I'm not sure it makes a lot of difference, as it is going to be very crowded that whole week. There are grad nights the 19th, 21st, and 22nd, but they have their own F! and fireworks, so those groups really shouldn't be a factor for nighttime shows.

We are excited in spite of the crowds - Cars Land looks amazing!

If you want to dedicate a night to fireworks then the first night is best. See "HydroGuy's Fireworks Rule" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1199851

Fantasmic reserved seating would best be done on a grad night - which is June 19 and 21. Since June 19 is fireworks then Fantasmic goes on June 21. That leaves WOC for June 20.

Food for thought...

To be honest OP, I dont know if there is a 'better' night! Hydroguy mentioned the grad night stuff and I dont have any experience with that so cant tell you!

But in all honesty its going to be BUSY no matter what you do, so my advice is just to pick a night to do all the entertainment stuff for each park as you are planning!

And I done the Fantasmic dessert package and yeah SUCH a great area to see the show and honestly the fireworks are still great there! You dont get all the castle effects but they do a lot right in front of ROA and you will still get a great view for the actual fireworks, the pyro on the castle and watching Tinkerbell and Dumbo flying!

So in theory you CAN do all three in one night, you just gotta hustle lol!

And DCA willl have WOC of course, not to mention Mad T Party AND maybe another smaller nighttime show as well. So you will be kept pretty busy at DCA as well too.

I just have to say though, DCA had one of the worst nightlife areas from all the parks for me to one of the best! Its truly astounishing! WOC obviously turned it around, but now you will have so many places just to spend a great night in like PP, BVS, CL (the neon alone will be amazing) and the night parties in Hollywoodland with Mad T Party the latest one. If you just want a nice stiff drink, you got so many bars now including the lounge in Carthay Circle Theater! Paradise Gardens area is so nice, beautiful and quiet, I can spend most of the night in that place, listening to the bands play, having a beer and even listen to WOC playing in the distance as I wait for my next FP!

Seriously, DCA is giving DL a SERIOUS run for its money in the nightlife deparment! :)

So, I think we'll do Fantasmic on teh 19th (watching the fireworks from our seats). Then on teh 20th we'll do the fireworks and TMTMAY show. Then on the 21st we'll do WOC and the other DCA night time stuff. How does that sound? Would it be better to do fireworks or WOC on a grad night?

Also, I was planning on us doing our DCA morning on the 21st, but if we do WOC on a different night, can just one of us head over to DCA from DL to get WOC FPs on a different morning?

Maybe we'll see you there! ;) My thinking is that it's better to do WOC on a grad night, because even though the grad night ticket holders have access to both parks all day, their late night party is at DL. So I am hoping they start migrating over there throughout the evening, leaving fewer of them in DCA. We'll see how that really pans out, especially with Cars Land being open, but that's my story and I'm sticking with it!

Yes, just one of you can go. I had asked that question a while ago, and the answer was that the tickets can be activated at either park to be eligible for fast passes at both parks, and the WOC FPs are disconnected from any others. In fact, while he is there maybe have him grab a FP for RSR or Soarin' or one of the other DCA attractions, to use later that day or evening, because the two parks are not connected at all.

Counting down!

Anything you can reserve will be better on a grad night. So WOC would be better than fireworks.

Yep, that's it! :thumbsup2

Yep all sounds great to me! Yeah thats a better plan, spread it out a bit!

And agree with Hydroguy, anytime you do an event that requires a ticket, its probably best to do that on grad night. The crowd wont be any different in that case! And I'm guessing most grad nighter's will be at DL by that hour anyway! But with CL now open, who knows? You will be ok for WOC regardless though.
