So I understand my family can collect fast passes early in the day to use for later. There are a few rides my husband and I would like to ride, but without our children, that have fast passes. If we find we do not use a fast pass we have collected, in favor of doing something else, can we give our fast passes to someone else going up to the line? Seems like it would be a waste to just let it go for the day.

Yes, you can do that. I have done that in the past when we weren't able to use our fastpasses before leaving the park.

Giving away your unused fastpasses is always a great idea! But, now that they are enforcing the return time, it gives fewer chances to have one that hasn't expired already. Just keep that in mind.:goodvibes

Was not aware that they were enforcing the return time at DLR, just WDW?
:confused3

Technically you cannot. Practically it happens all the time.

There are some folks who feel like it is cheating to use FPs after their window even though DLR has accepted them for the last 10 years. WDW has stopped, but DLR has not. Yet.

The FPs are "non-transferrable" so for anyone who wants to strictly follow FP rules you can't give them to anyone else.

In practice FPs are given away and transferred all the time. Last year we were on our way into DL one evening and a lady on the way out had two FPs for the newly opened Star Tours which were for later that night. She could not use them because she was leaving and so she gave them to us at the turnstiles.

I do the same thing when I can't use them.

I have seen folks transfer FPs to other guests right in front of the ride and in front of the CMs. They do not care.

So, answer is yes. ;) :p

Yes, you can give away your unused FP's....we had FP for Splash that we were unable to use on our last day, it was extremely hot (especially for March!) and we gave our FP's to a family of 4 in line, it was outside the window but we explained they would not have a problem and they were very grateful. :)

I have seen no reason not to, even though I have done it I have seen the people I gifted just throw them away since they had past due times. Shows how much the general sheep know about the FP system.

Agree, and maybe that is good for those of us that know differently;)

Also agree with this, I always walk by and shake my head at the longer queue's and wonder why...I will go with the flow.

that is what prompted me to start another thread about "watching the sheep":)

Wow, guys. I think you are being a little harsh towards the people who do not know any better. :(

I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread because the question has been asked and answered, and it's starting to head down an unkind path.
