Ok I am trying to find some meals cheap quick under about 10 for some quick lunch ideas.

I see something I like and look at the side an diish chips or apple. Is DL a now non fries place? Do any places still have just normal Fries? If so are there any close places to the award winners cart in dca? (I could do the chill dog yum but chips are not what id want lol or do i have to go to Mc d's for fries now?:rotfl2:

There are still places with fries but no hot dog & fries (not even in DL).

For fries, you can eat at Stagedoor Cafe, Golden Horseshoe (Frontierland), Tomorrowland Terrace, and the Hungry Bear Restaurant (Critter Country). There, the kid's meal comes with the option of the apple slices and milk, juice or water, but you can ask for fries and a soft drink instead.

I don't believe there are any fries options at DCA (unless a sit down restaurant, but it's been a while since I've been to WCT and I've never been to Ariel's Grotto).

wait a second...didnt Hungry Bear change over to sweet potato fries????

Hmm, maybe, but I thought they still offered the option of regular fries too?

well i like hungry bear and i would totally go for regular or sweet potato fries but my grandkids are gonna want reg. fries and i dont want to go looking for fries either just to get a burger from there...I think Village Haus still has them tho..

My favorite lunch at DL is a corndog & fries at the Stage Door Cafe for $7. If you have an AP it goes down to $6 and some change. Sooooooo good!

ETA: they had kids meals here too. basic stuff, small menu, but served with fries and very yummy!!!

Nope, no regular fries at Hungry Bear. You have a choice of sweet potato fries, coleslaw, or onion rings. My boys don't find any of those choices kid friendly unfortunately. DH and I think the onion rings are good, but neither of us are sweet potato fry or coleslaw fans.

My girls loved the sweet potatoe fries at Hungry Bear. I am not a fan, but ate at them anyway.

We didn't do it the first day, but should have......instead of buying the kids meal, get an adult meal and split it between kids. It would have saved us some money and since we had water cups and drink mix they didn't need the drinks. They also came with apple slices and baby carrots. My girls didn't eat either of the sides.

I was just going to say that Village Haus has fries. :) You can also get them at Taste Pilot's Grill in DCA, but I get onion rings because that's what I like best. :)

ty much i also found a 13bucks for 5 ribs and fries in dca im so wanting soem those lol Thanks guys been busy tonight beginning to get things together to wash for trip

After researching a lot of the food options at DL for my picky kids, the only place we ended up eating on property was the Golden Horseshoe. I liked the Hungry Bears menu, but the kids wouldn't eat sweet potato fries. I would have eaten at the Village Haus but I had heard that it was always crazy busy. I do recommend the Golden Horseshoe. We got nuggets and fries and fish and fries. They have ice cream sundaes too.

My DH and I split a chicken nugget and fish and chips meal I had eaten a couple pieces of fish before taking this photo:

These sundaes were so good. We should have split them because hardly any of us could finish them.

Odd, when we were there in October we went to Hungry Bear and asked for regular fries and they gave them to us. I think we got one order with regular and one with onion rings. I swear that was last year, but I could be mixing it up with a previous trip. Never mind the kids, I'm not a sweet potato fan.

Btw, my favorite under $10 meal is the stuffed baked potatoe over by Princess Faire.
