We rode it today and the smell by Rome is back. My dh had no idea what I was talking about but I knew fellow dissers would like to know!

Oh, and on the safari ride yesterday our truck went at very reasonable pace. Much slower than I've ever experienced before. I think they must have gotten wind of pete's nickname for the ride! And the big red/game warden/poacher story line was completely gone. Looks like the new zebra area is pretty big and pretty close to being done. We had giraffes walking right along side our truck on both sides, great views of a lot of elephants, and saw everything but lions. Probably the best safari I've been on

That is good news, I was missing the smell when we were there a couple of weeks ago and I was hoping it was not permanently gone. We also had a GREAT safari ride when we were there, even though we still had the little red storyline, they did not seem to be driving as fast. I don't think I'm going to have a problem with little red being removed.

The burning smell is so unique. As soon as I smell it takes me right to Rome on Spaceship Earth. Now if they would bring back the old narration...

So it wasn't my imagination then back in Feb. that the ride went slower than I had remembered it. Awesome.

Bacon...yum! I love that smell...I'm glad I'll get to experience it when I'm there later this week.

A few times we completely stopped, and not because an animal was in front of us but because our driver was pointing out some of the animals. We rode around 9:45 on an emh morning, so it wasn't dead or anything, so it seemed like a purposeful change.

I did the safari in the beginning of March and the truck stopped several times for a few seconds. It was long enough to get some great pictures and I thought at the time that someone had listened to Pete.

The burning smell.... Trader Joe's Smoked Salt in the grinder smells EXACTLY like it. :) DH nicknamed it "Spaceship".

...."let's put a little Spaceship on this..."

LOL!
