Any chance Despicable Me will be doing soft openings the week of May 21st? I know the opening date says summer 2012 but was just wondering how it was progressing and how close it is to being finisdhed.

Sure...there's always a chance. I haven't heard anything official as to an opening date but I personally think it will be open for Memorial Day weekend. That remains to be seen.

I hope you are right...we will be there June 5-7. Do you know if it will be an Express Pass ride?

Not at first...like all new attractions, Express is not available so that as many people as possible can experience it.

During soft opening/technical rehearsal, if it's working that day, it'w working. There is no Express during that timeframe. After the grand Opening, it probably will have Express (too soon to tell).

There are no express passes on Forbidden Journey or for Ollivanders.

The other two rides were already in existence before the HP area opened and so they have retained their express passes.

Depending on how the queue is set up, most likely yes.

For most new rides, when they open for their Grand Opening, they have Express available. Only Rockit and Forbidden Journey did not open with Express access (ROTM and Simpsons did).

I saw that when I went to the parks yesterday. Hilarious! They were adding something when I passed, which might be the wait time stuff? :shrug:
