Any DREAM Concierge Reviews?

We were in 12516 on a recent Dream cruise and totally loved the concierge floor and lounge. Panos, Tom and Eddie were great and any questions/requests we had they were able to answer or get for us. The lounge had snacks all day long along with various selection of pop and bottle water. There was also a fruit basket in our room when we arrived. Jose was our stateroom host and I cannot say enough good things about Jose.... I'm sure that whatever room you decide on you will be happy with it. Enjoy the experience.:goodvibes

i'm sure we'll be happy with any room too - it would be easier if only one were available, but all the one bedrooms are available - every single one!!!
no one has booked a one bedroom except for us....so i have the pick of every single room

We sail in just over two months on the Fantasy-- Room 12512

On a diet- want to drop 20lbs before the cruise!!!!:)

Thank you. They had me in 12504 so I was going to change to 12508 or 12510, but when I went online to check my reservation they had already moved me to 12510. You dont think they will move me again without notifying me, will they?

Why were you moved? is it something you requested? i thought once you booked & paid a deposit for a room that it was yours & you couldn't be moved???

I never asked why, but I did call them to make sure they wouldnt move me again. I just assumed someone specifically wanted that room. Maybe to connect with the one next to it. Worked out better for me :)

If I put in a request for a specific room, will they move me if they need my room to connect with another? I picked the exact room I wanted and don't want to be moved, if it's possible to prevent it.

maybe it's because 12504 is right next to the royal suite and connects to it.

12510 is a better room than 12504.
12510 is on the bump out, so you'll have a much deeper verandah.
plus you'll be closer to the concierge lounge.
But the big plus is that bigger verandah.
12504 has a regular depth verandah.

You can call DCL and have them put a "Do Not Move" notation on your reservation.

Just got back from Dream cruise, we had 12522. I originally booked 12510 but changed my mind, regretted it after seeing the bump-out with the huge verandah. Anyway, the concierge lounge is close-enough to all Staterooms on Deck 12.

1. Eddy, Panos, and Tom were very helpful in a lot of ways - like printing out a daily itinerary and rearranging my appointments/booking as needed, re-printing lost Port Adventure tickets even for our family member not in concierge, giving us "birthday packets" for kids with a greeting poster, birthday buttons, 10-minute arcade cards, taking care of my photo mat for character signatures.
2. I love the lounge and the stuff in it. I also love all the staff there (Ida mixed the drinks, and there was always another staff refilling the buffet). The food were presented very nicely, I loved the chocolate pop most, the one with the edible stick (wafer). The lounge is guest services in a relaxed room, I didn't need to wait long to get something done and I don't even need to know the details on how things gets done. I just wish they don't close at 10pm.
3. I love Jose, he was our host and he's just perfect. Wished I could take him home :) He always had time for us, as if he doesn't already have enough to do. Our room was always neat and tidy and it was arranged in an engaging way with decorative towel animals or items delivered to our room, we have 3 small children with us and we were always zipping in/out.
4. Yes, we had the 2 white robes and matching slippers in-room. We can pick the pillows, but really didn't had to as the ones we got gave us a good night's sleep. We can also order in-room continental breakfast on Disembarkation morning, but we wanted to go to Cabanas so didn't use the privilege.
5. Love the convenience from check-in, check-out - resting in concierge-only spaces. I just hope the perks extend to theater-seating, deck-party reserved area, priority line for character meets in Atrium and photos.
6. Will do concierge again when budget allows.

Forgot to add we also had fresh fruit basket when we arrived, our "cool box" was stocked with 2 bottles of Evian and about 6 cans of sodas for free. Since we didn't finish the sodas, we don't know if it gets restocked (I forgot to ask Jose). I got a DCL lithograph, personal invites for Concierge-only events such as character-meets (we didn't attend). DH took advantage of the pre-dinner cocktails in the lounge. We got free Internet (had to pay the initial $40 but it gets refunded to you). We were able to view our Shutters photos on the lounge and order from there. All the MDR menus are available in the lounge as well, so you can preview it before you enter the dining rooms. Extra Navigators are available on a shelf.

other lines have reserved theater seating for concierge guests. I put this in my comment card and spoke to someone about it. If enough ask for it, it may happen ...... doesn't hurt to ask

maybe it has something to do with the PRICING. Royal suites used to go 1.5 years in advance, so hard to get. Now, you will see 1 or both available on lots of cruises for next year. When they are asking over 30K in some cases, I can see why.

The one bedrooms can go for as much as a Royal used to just but a few years ago. The truly shocking thing was when I priced out top suites on Celebrity for the same week next April school break ... shocking indeed :scared1:

i know - i could get a nicer suite on the allure for a 7 night cruise, for the same price as the one bedroom on the Dream for 4 nights.
and on the Allure they do have reserved seating in the theater for suite guests.
The reserved seating is a real plus. I wish DCL would do that.

I agree that if enough people ask for it, they might add it.

we used to complain about the lack of a concierge lounge and they've put one in. So maybe if we all complain about the reserved seating they'll start to do that too :)

i'm worried about how i'm going to get my mom and sister into the theater into good seats. My mom is nearly blind now (seriously blind, her optic nerve is dying), so she really needs to be up pretty close and in the center, or she won't be able to see anything.
But they're both slow moving. So i'm seeing myself racing to get to the theater to save seats (i know, against the rules) and then hope they'll find their way there before the show starts. I'm nervous just thinking about it.
There has to be a more relaxed way.

We stayed in 12510 in August and loved it. The varandah was great and it was a perfect spot to watch the fireworks from. We were also nice and close to the lounge which made it convenient. I have some pictures on here somewhere of the room/verandah if anyone wants to see it.

We are scheduled to stay in 12510 in October and would love to see pictures of the room and especially the verandah if anyone has any.

Thank you! I'm scheduled to stay in 12510 and am just hoping they don't bump me from the room!
