Over a dozen visits & still new restaurants to try: 2 Adults March '12 Dining Review

FINAL THOUGHTS

Hope you enjoyed my reviews here. I'm so glad we had the chance to try a few new places this trip and I must say we would return to most if not all of them for sure! The exception might be Kouzzina for breakfast...just not worth it for us...but I'd love to try another meal there perhaps.

We are planning a short NON-Disney trip for this June. While part of me thinks we could just stick to chain restaurants since we aren't staying on property or planning to visit the parks, part of me is also considering making a trip or two onto Disney property just for food! I'd love to try Sanaa again, maybe Kouzzina for dinner, and also a trip to T-Rex (which we did not try this time but I did review it in my June 2011 trip link below) as well. We will see if that happens! ;)

If I can answer any questions, just let me know. Sorry I just did not go overboard with food photos here, but probably most of these places have been reviewed before by others and I'm sure you can find photos of the food elsewhere! :)

Glad you enjoyed the dessert party. I've read many posts about people being sat towards the back and could barely see the castle and NO fireworks because of the overhang (thus having to stand at the railings). I guess it would sort of depend on people's heights ... as heights would play into views.

The treats looked yummy! They must give their strawberries steroids. :lmao:

I'd love to do this one year ... but not sure when we'd be able to justify the price to afford it. Next year, our family size will be 5, so that really adds up.

Yes, there is definitely mostly seating towards the back. Still I'd be surprised if you couldn't see most of the stuff from there. Oh and I failed to mention but Tinkerbell flies RIGHT over you here which is just WAY WAY COOL!

I agree on the cost. We did it this time because there were ONLY two of us and it was easier to part with that kind of money. However I'd definitely consider skipping a bigger ADR meal for dinner and doing this and a quick snack or counter service meal instead. After all, it's VACATION...we always use that as an excuse to skip regular meals. One time in Busch Gardens Williamsburg we had funnel cakes and ice cream for dinner! :thumbsup2

Glad to hear you liked Coral Reef. We went there on a whim back in November and really enjoyed it. We sat right next to the aquarium and it was so relaxing there and our server was excellent.

Hi, I loved reading your reviews! Hope you had fun on your trip :)

I just have one question about the FF Prix Fixe $63 menu... am I right in assuming that for the "Duo" appetizer and entree, the size of the dish is smaller than ordering it solo? Would you say it is half the normal size, less than half, etc.? It looks like an awesome way to try all their signature items, but I've had the snapper before and LOVED it, and am not sure if I would rather have a smaller portion of it just to be able to try the steak as well .... :goodvibes

Yes I've read mixed reviews here but I would definitely return. I think it will be a consideration for our November trip with the whole gang! :)

Really great reviews from start to finish :)
Happy planning for your next trip

:thumbsup2 Thanks so much! I always enjoy the planning part! :) Right now I am still considering a few Disney restaurants for our June non-Disney park trip and then of course several for November 2012 too! :)

You know, I have never ordered the REGULAR size appetizer or entree. I'm sure with the appetizer it was a small sample of each. The entree was probably at least a smaller portion of the beef and probably the snapper as well, but it was still MORE than enough food overall! :) Sorry I don't have photos of proof of that...but I find that the Disney food always seems like more than enough. DH and I split SEVERAL dishes on this trip and it worked well for us! :) He felt cheap doing it...but I enjoyed saving the money and never felt like I was walking away hungry! :)
