We are going at the end of September 2012, for ours Oldests 10th Birthday. We are also hoping my mom will be joining us, but more on that later on!

Hi there!

Now there is nothing quite like a good old ramble! I am rather partial to the odd one myself:rotfl:!

I have just started my first PTR too! Have done the big ( one month in the states!!! ) report, but didn't do the pre trip thingy before we went!

Can't wait to go back!

Looking forward to hearing all about your plans.

I can be your "first" follower!!!:thumbsup2

Cheers

Sue

Well A little about 'us'

Chad and I have been married almost 10 years (in June, and the time went by sooo fast!). We have 3 great boys. E will be 10 (during the trip) L will be 7 in June and C will be 3 in November.
We are from Alberta Canada, originally from Calgary but living in the small city of Camrose now.

I am a stay at home mom, while attempting to go back to school to become a certified Travel Agent. DH is a supervisor at a local Pipe coating plant, and the kids do what kids do!

We have done DL a few times but its been years the first trip, my oldest 2 weren't even in grade school. We have also been to WDW 3 times with kids and the last time was adults only this past January. Can you say I am addicted? DH keeps telling me there are other places to visit other then the Mouse, but I refuse to listen!

heres a few more pics of past trips with the kids!

Well thats all I really have time for now, but will be back later on this week to add more.

Thanks for following

Following along , my friend! Getting some good pointers for our December trip(hopefully!)

Impatiently waiting!:yay:

YAHOO!!!!:banana: Mom called today and the doctor has told her she can go, they will schedule her chemo treatments around the trip. The next obstacle will be finding trip insurance do to the cancer treatments. But I will find something!

So this is my mom (Vi) and C when he was 6 mths old, who is joining our adventure!

So now I need to find something at a decent price across the street from DL that will fit the 6 of us, and I think I may have!

We are looking at Del Sol, it shares the parking lot of Dennys and we can get 2 queen beds, with a set of bunk beds, for only 644 including taxes! For 6 people thats a great price. No one else has come close to that and I have had good reviews on it from both here and Liners. plus trip advisor has had good reviews (and some bad to be expected) so we will be booking that today.

We told the kids last night, I wanted to wait but Dh said whats the point. so we told them. They are excited. L more because of Car Land opening. I just hope some of the rumors are wrong about a few attractions down for Refurb! Big Thunder was down in DW when we were there in January, I hope its not in Sept at DL!

Oh and a few more things to research, Scooter retal for mom, and airport transfers!
We normally rent a car, but to hold all 6 of us, the cost of a van and parking is out of the question.
So any imput on this is very welcome, and really imput on anything is welcom!

So its only 9:30am here and already I have done a bunch of planning!

Booked the hotel, YAY! If we find a better rate we can still cancel with no worries, but I am sure we will be fine.

The first day plans have been made! We will travel all morning (620am flight BLECH:surfweb:) and we land at 11:30, after a quick stop in Seattle. Then off to the hotel, I am sure it will not be ready once we get there, but you never know! Also we are hoping my moms scooter will be there, and this way we can maybe walk over to DTD and explore a bit.

After we check into the room, it will be time to relax for mom C and I. DH L & E are going to a ball game. Dh has purchased the tickets already and the kids are excited. So it will just be the 3 of us for the evening to find something to eat and hang out!

So thats all for today! the plans are coming along

I will definitely be following along! Your trip sounds great :)

It looks like we will be hotel neighbours- we (my husband and I) will be at the Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites from Sept 22 - Sept 27. After that, we fly to WDW for 3 nights and then we cruise on the Disney Dream on Sept 30.

We can't wait to experience our first Halloween!

I hope you don't mind- I'm quickly posting again because I finally worked out how to 'jazz up' my profile!

I'm thinking that any day now we will get an official start date for Halloween at DL...it has become an obsession to check the net each day for this :goodvibes

The ages of your boys will make the trip awesome... we always talk about "when we have kids and they are about 7 we'll take them...". They must be so excited!! :)

In terms of transfers to Anaheim, I have just booked the Disneyland Resort Express...have you used this before? Normally we use Super Shuttle but last time they pretty much took us around the world before we got to Anaheim, and I figure this way we'll start the 'magic' a little earlier!

Thats great, be sure to watch out for us going CRAZY on the 26th in DTD and at the parks on the 27th! 3 boys and grandma in tow will be fun.

Well I have to say the boys have done WDW 3 times in 3 yrs the last trip being last sept, so they are (as the oldest says) Disney Pros! But I have to say if you want to go when they are younger, it is something they may not remember but u sure will.
We usually rent, but with the extra person, I wont pay the minivan rates! So we will probaly do the bus as well. It will be different for us, but exciting none the less.

As for a update nothing to new happening. Found a few places that will rent the scooter for $200, so thats not to bad.

Been super busy this week doing NOTHING!! Walked a bit (gotta get the legs in shape for all the walking!) ran a bit on the treadmill (and I lived to tell about it so not so bad!), and now I am getting ready to go camping with the air cadets this weekend! I leave mine at home with DH only to hang out with 25 teenagers! Not sure what I was thinking!LOL

Just been cruising hoping for some deals on other hotels, which has not come up yet. If we find a amazing deal we can always switch our reservations.

Happy Tuesday!

Went camping on the weekend with cadets! What a blast! Slept in a tent, and did not freeze, I think saturday night was actually pretty warm (about 40F!) for this time of year. Came home helped DH with some yard work, and met a few more neighbors (we moved in end of last Aug and had not met many people!).

I have spent the last 2 days looking on the creative Dis board, and have all these ideas swimming around in my head. Thinking I will now have to make some shirts for our trip! Love the mickey tie-dye. Not sure DH will wear it but I know the kids and I will. Well at least the kids will! It will be a great summer project I think.

Not much else happening here, the weather is gloomy and cool today, hoping the s-word holds off and does not happen like they are calling for at the end of the week. But we could use some rain, its really dry this year!

Did you book the Del Sol?

Your boys are adorable! I'm so impressed two of them have red hair! It's so rare! I know... I'm a ginger too! :goodvibes

we did book, watching for other deals to come up, we can always cancel if needed.

Thank you! My kids are pretty cute, most days!! Let me tell you having red heads were a pretty big shock to my DH and I! It has been 4 generations in my family since anyone has had red hair (well natural red not out of a bottle!) ,and every nurse in the area of the hospital had to come meet L! When he was born all the nurses could talk about in the OR was the baby with red hair, not even tell us if it was a girl or boy! Trust me L really has the attitude that comes with the hair!
