Dream Child: Question.. WDW VS DL VS NYC

My 11 yr old son has been granted a Dream through the Dream Factory. He does theatre so he really wants to go to NYC and hang out backstage of a Broadway show but then he really wants to go to WDW. He has been going back and forth for weeks now. He loves to learn and sight see but loves to ride the crazy scary rides

Have you been to Disney World and Disneyland? Is there really that big of a difference? The reason I ask is… my friend told me that there is not a big difference. If he goes to WDW could I ever afford to take him to NYC. The answer would be NO… But if he goes to NYC could I afford (next few years) to take them Disneyland (we live in AZ).. The answer is Yes…

There is a huge difference between Disney World and Disneyland and yes, I have been to both.

Personally, I think he should go for the NYC trip. You can arrange for a WDW trip yourself anytime; not the NYC trip if it includes backstage tours and meeting the performers, etc.

Just a thought but what if he wanted to combine the two and wish for Disney World and to meet the cast and crew of La Nouba. Or do he currently have a favorite show that is on Broadway?

Thanks, I don't think we will ever be able to afford WDW, but could go to DL. With being a single mom and medical bills...

La Nouba is a Cirque du Soleil show that is at Downtown Disney here in Orlando.
