Hi all, welcome to my first ever PTR for my first ever trip to WDW haha :wizard:

Who is going…

Myself – Victoria 23
My Fiancée- Ian 26

Both of us are working hard to save for WDW, lots of saving and no spending till we go ::yes::

Ian has been many times to WDW when he was a kid and we will be celebrating his 27th Birthday over there. He's looking forward to meeting Donald, Belle and Beast :)
I have never been before this will be my first time and I am SUPER excited. I'm looking forward to meeting Sleeping Beauty and Pocahontas :hyper:

When we are going…

We have booked the holiday and we will leave Manchester Airport on Friday 12th of October for the World of Magic. I’m a tad scared of the insanely long flight that we will have to endure :sad2: I’ve never been on a flight so long. Once I get there I will be fine.

Where we are staying…

Pop Century!!
We decided on a budget resort this time round hopefully one day we will stay in AKL ;) when we have super good jobs and can afford it.

Here, there and everywhere…

We have decided which parks we are going to enjoy each day.

Mon 15th – Animal Kingdom

I have made an Excel Spreadsheet with all the things we are looking to be doing. I’ll post that when it’s all finished. There is still room for more changes to be made on it.

Feeding our faces…

After MONTHS of looking and reading reviews of all the different places to eat, we have decided. Well we haven’t fully decided about Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus 12:30pm and Ohana 5pm because we don’t know what day MNSSHP is actually on yet, so we will cancel two whichever day it’s on.

Today while I was at working reeeeeally hard ;) Ian was in charge of booking our ADR’s as it was the 190 days. We tried to do it yesterday but our account wasn’t linking up with our reference number, Ian was getting very frustrated. But today it’s all booked so he’s a very happy man! :rotfl:

Fri 12th -Arrival day – Earl of Sandwich
Sat 13th - A buffet with Pooh & Friends - 5pm
Sun 14th – Le Cellier – 1:30pm
Mon 15th – Jiko: The Cooking Place – 7:10pm
Tue 16th – Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre – 4pm
Wed 17th – Spirit of Aloha – 5:15pm
Thurs 18th - Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus 12:30pm and Ohana 5pm
Fri 19th - Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus 12:30pm and Ohana 5pm
Sat 20th – BIRTHDAY BOYS DAY - Donald’s Dining Safari at Tusker House Restaurant 8:05am and Via Napoli 5:45pm
Sun 21st - SEAWORLD
Mon 22nd - UNIVERSAL
Tue 23rd – California Grill 8pm
Wed 24th – Flight home :(

We decided for our last night to make it extra special we are going to have our dinner at California Grill, hopefully (fingers crossed) with a nice window seat to see the sunset and watch Wishes for the last time :lovestruc

Nibbling…

Our next plan of action is to take some notes of snacks that we HAVE to try. Ian is a lover of trying new things and likes to force me to, which I’m grateful for actually as I’ve found loads of food that I would never have liked before or even tried. Any recommendations?

So far we have Dole Whips and Cinnamon Rolls on top of our list.

Things to look into...

Photopass or photopass +
Food and Wine snack crawl
ESTA's

I can't think of anymore just now, I'm sure I'll come up with some others.

That’s all for now I guess. Thank you for reading!

Vicky and Ian :earboy2:

Aww wow sounds like a fab trip! October is such a great time to go (weather / crowd levels and of course, Halloween!)

Are you doing MNSSHP? I would recommend it :goodvibes

Look forward to reading more :thumbsup2

Sounds great and you certainyl have an action-packed itinerary.

Just a couple of comments on your itinerary (I know you didn't ask for them but I'll offer them anyway) :) You are planning to go to Universal but not Islands of Adventure? Did WWOHP not appeal to you? Not that you've made a mistake if you have chosen Universal over IOA but just wondered if you realised that there are two parks there and WWOHP is in the 'other one'.

Also, you have a full day and two half days for Animal Kingdom. I know a lot of people love AK but, in my opinion, even if you really do love it, there is probably no need for almost two full days there, if that is your intention.

Also, do you plan to spend full days in the parks? You need to be aware of possible theme park burnout. It might be helpful to have a rest day or two or at least factor in a water park. Have you bought the 14 day Unlimited Disney tickets? They include water park entry so would be a shame not to make use of it.

Anyway, hope you have a fab trip. October is a great time of year to go - the weather is usually lovely and the crowds aren't too bad.

Vicky, I can't wait to read the rest of your plans! My DBF and I are going to be out there whilst you are! In fact, I think we're going to be at Epcot on the 17th too! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

October is a brilliant time to be in WDW how exciting!

I love how organised you are :D

Joining in! Great start, Octobers a wonderful time to go.

Good choice with Pop! We love it there.

I agree with Sarah, I recommend MNSSHP too. You should give it a go, it's loads of fun!

Tusker House is great. We've also done (and enjoyed) Akershus & Le Cellier.

Can't wait to read more xx

Great start! We are flying the same day as you but have 7 nights in NYC first! And its my oh's bday the day afters your oh's!

Really love your restaurant choices

Thank you guys for reading :D

Thank you Sarah, will you be going again?
We are definitely doing MNSSHP :) I forgot to mention it in my plan. We are struggling to agree on what costumes to get for it :P

It is indeed an action packed itinerary, whether we get doing all of it is another thing :P

We decided on only going to Universal as I'm not a huge fan of big rides like The Hulk, neither of us like Harry Potter either (sorry guys). I know there's other things to see and do there but we thought we would give that park a miss. We have got the 14 day Unlimited tickets but we aren't to keen on water parks :P such fussy people we are.

Thank you :) hoping the weather stays nice!

Thanks Steffi!
Awesome, maybe we will see you both around in the park :P or maybe even meet up for some cocktails :D

Can't wait to eat at both those places, they look like great fun!

:rotfl:Im joining this pretrip party :cool1:

I'm actually very very jealous of just how organised you are!! We are heading out in September ( leave on the 6th of Oct boooo) and so far we have a handful of ADRs booked and the photopass. I have a rought idea of what parks/what days but it changes so often!!

Pop looks fab!! I know loads of people who book it because they are on a budget, but have come home and swear they will never stay anywhere else. Do you think you will decorate your room window??

Haha thank you :) we love making our plans. But I'm sure there will be lots of changes to be made nearer the time. September will be here before you know it!! You'll have to make your TR as soon as you come back so we can read it before we go ;) haha

Pop does look like there is alot of fun to be had :P Ians never stayed on site before so we're both super excited for even seeing our room normal and hoping to come back to little surprises :P

Sounds awesome Steffi!
For sure we'll have to sort something out ^__^

Hi there :wave2:

Like you, I've been saving like crazy to afford my trip, flights villa tickets etc all add up, I've even been selling old mobile phones and stuff to afford it :rotfl:

I'm so jealous that you're going in October I'd live to be there for Haloween!

Can't wait to read more :)

Hi :) That itenerary sounds perfect. AK is worth the two days, just to get the rides done is half a day, the animals can take up hours too if you like watching them (I do :))

Take careful note of the seaworld shows though, I'd advise Clyde and Seymour (Very funny) and horizons be on the list to do, you'll need to schedule carefully to get more done in a day though.

Hope you have a fab trip, and don't go stir crazy waiting. :)
