Jambo House GV's

I have been asked to plan a trip next January and they want to stay in a AK Grand Villa at Jambo House.

Those of you that have done so, which room numbers did you like, or not like, and why?

I don't remember what the number was but it was way down the hall.

Jambo was great, and we loved it. Don't think too much about which room you hope to get because it wouldn't be guaranteed anyway.

There are only 6 GV's at Jambo so much is just going to depend on what's vacant at the time you check in.

Some of the GV's are at the end of the wings and none are right by the lobby. From what I found in research is that the GV near the pool is the HA GV (5483). All of them seem to have similar though slightly different views of the savannahs. I did request one closer to the lobby (5284) and happened to get it but a trade off is that we could hear noise and see the service/HVAC area for the Kidani. It wasn't terribly intrusive but it was visible. Here's a picture of what I'm describing.

Thanks, I hadn't thought about the service area noise. We have stayed out on the other wing end and I think I will request the wing you stayed on except on the end, long walk, or the one we stayed in before, another long walk.

So have you booked it already?

Yes!! We are staying in OKW GV for 3 days starting Jan 23 to Jan 26, then off to AKV GV on 26 to 31. I am going to try to add a Beach Cottage at Vero Beach for 2 days starting Jan 21 to 23, but need wait for 7 month booking window.

The trip starts with a 4 day WV 2bdrm stay, it's suppose to be a graduation trip for oldest grandson. Wipes out all 11, 12, and part of 13 points.

One day I am going to order Deb's chocolate cake, Publix Market?, sit on balcony and eat the whole thing.

I think I'll head there for our next trip and do the same. That is some good cake!!
