I/O/VGT rates - what is the trend/pattern?

As I anxiously await a vgt rate for July I was wondering what type of trends you have noticed in terms of when the rates become available. Someone mentioned that they have noticed them usually first posted in the mornings. I also understand that they tend to show up just after the 75 day out mark. Any other trends you have noticed and could share?

You named it. THey are currently aware for all May and June Fantasy cruises. They are usually released shortly after the start of the penalty period. The number of cabins may be limited...thus, for any given date they may show up for a month or more, or only for a few days.

Have you ever seen them come and go within a few hours? Do I need to be checking that often?

I just booked a VGT for May 5th at 31 day out, the first day VGT were released for that cruise - I had been waiting since day 75! I was getting REALLY ANXIOUS! But it came good in the end.

I haven't seen this. However, I had my TA looking for me as well as checking for myself on one date we considered cruising. It was sort of a last minute thought, and I knew I wouldn't do it without great rates. Figure 2 sets of eyes are better than one.

One other trend to be aware of ... A VGT was offered for my cruise for just a few days, after that, you had to have no more than 3 people in the cabin forit to show up.

Well, we booked our VGT for July going to Western Caribbean in February. It was up for about 2 weeks and then gone. I haven't seen it come up again since. Maybe it will come up again at 75 days mark, maybe not. I guess it all depends on how filled the ship is at that point. If they need to fill the ship more, I am sure it will come up again. Good luck.

I booked a VGT for our June cruise. I watched it several days because I was really hoping for an August date to open up. It never fluctuated but ultimately I decided to go for it. The moment after I booked I checked the Disney website (I booked through a TA) and the VGT rate was still there but had gone up about $1200. It has not been as low as I paid since. So it is possible for it to go up (or maybe go away) after someone books. I'm guessing this is because they've decided to sell a pre-determined number at a certain rate. Our rate was about 30% off the lowest verandah rate.

No trend. I am still amazed by the very attractive IGT rate now for the December Panama Canal cruise but so unfortunate that I won't have the 2 weeks off to take it :sad2:

I booked our family of 3 on the Fantasy in July VGT last month. We booked on a Sunday and it was gone by Wed.

We were booked on the Pacific seaboard ports cruise for over a year. About seven weeks ago someone on our Cruise Meet said that DCL were offering VGT on our sailing, which is in late September. We jumped at it, shifting from a SPR to VGT for an extra $200. That offer was up for several weeks before it went again, so it must have been a slow selling cruise.

I am facebook friends with "*************"...they posted the rates this week for June cruises. They posted it on facebook, and their website did not reflect the new discounted rates until the next day. I probably would have never realized the rate was out, if not for facebook.

THe TA said Disney posts them (with no rhyme or reason) and they can disappear at any time.
